Devil's advocate but it's more reasonable to think of a cop taking a gun from someone during a conflict if they sense a moment of weakness than it is to think of a combat medic running into a firefight to sew up a bullet wound.

I think the problem is that the one that the PD tends to set up in front of the police department is so convoluted that everyone just slams into it. Whenever I see that checkpoint there it merges traffic into the southbound lane, while the normally northbound lane becomes a restricted access...
