Admin being reported: (Tag by writing @ before their forum name) Unknown, however is an Administrator and in the GS9 gang. He knew I would be writing a report.

Reason for Report: No knowledge of rules and punished for following the rules.

I was a tow truck driver towing a car that was ILLEGALY parked on the sidewalk (see photo in evidence). I then hooked the car up and was chased by multiple members of the GS9 gang. Smashing their cars into my tow truck in an attempt to get me to drop the car. After trying to escape, my Tow truck was deleted and I was brought up to a roof by the Admin who blacklisted me from the tow truck. (Who in my own personal believe, was trying to get his fellow gang member off the hook.)

His initial reason for blacklisting me, was that I was towing "Perfectly fine cars". Then he changed his reason by saying the way I was driving to avoid the gang members was fail driving.
What are you supposed to do in that situation???
We got into a heated debate on the legality of the parking at hand. Which I showed him a picture of the car, as I always take a picture before I tow it, to prove that it was illegally parked. He then proceeded to make excuses that, "it's fine" "kids don't know how to park" and that "we are not a serious server". In my own opinion, he was bending the rules to make it okay for his gang member in GS9 to park illegally.

This server follows U.S. Traffic laws refer to the screenshot here. .

Here is the car in question that I towed. NOTICE THE RIGHT WHEELS ARE NOT TOUCHING THE CURB. AND OTHERS PARKED AROUND HIM.
Here is an excerpt from the DMV on parallel parking laws.
This is complete and blatant incompetence on how Traffic laws operate and that I was punished for following traffic laws and my RP job.

Consider having staff members take a DMV practice test along with their staff report as this happens too often. https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/dmv/detail/pubs/interactive/tdrive/exam

How are we to know who you are reporting when you don't have their name or who to tag?

We need to know who this is in reference to unless the staff member responds to this saying this is them.

My radio started blowing up about a tow truck driver and I come out to see you speeding down main street driving on the wrong side of the road plowing through 3 different vehicles. I immediately remove your vehicle due to the blatant fail driving.
In my own opinion, he was bending the rules to make it okay for his gang member in GS9 to park illegally.
I take you to a sit and come to find it was my car you had towed, which was parked completely fine at the side of the road. There was one other staff on at the time and he was off duty so I decided I would just stop roleplaying and go on duty and handle the issue at hand. This was not a case of me trying to defend any of friends or org members and I couldn't care less if my car had been impounded, that wasn't what upset me. You have been at this ever since tow trucks came back and I decided to put my foot down.

Parking laws are not enforced federally, they're enforced and made through state legislature. The police are instructed to follow default US traffic laws. Those laws differ by state anyways. In our argument you kept saying federal, which has nothing to do with this.
Regardless of that you were a tow truck driver for the mechanic shop, not a PD tow truck driver. You have no business acting the likes of a meter-maid and scrutinizing parked cars.

I've seen several other staff confront you about this but back down because you do the whole "do you even have a license?" "you don't know parking laws at all" thing. You had a bad attitude from the start of sit and we very well could have talked it out and your punishment could've been lowered, but you chose to be belittling and rude.

Here is the car in question that I towed. NOTICE THE RIGHT WHEELS ARE NOT TOUCHING THE CURB. AND OTHERS PARKED AROUND HIM.
Like I said already, this is not your job. You are a tow truck driver through the maintenance shop. You tow cars that are obviously obstructing traffic and cars that are badly damaged and need to be repaired. This isn't stated in the rules because it should be obvious as one of the first rules you'll read is to use common sense, if you had read that we probably wouldn't be here right now and you would still be enjoying your tow truck driver privileges. Besides the fact nitpicking whether the right wheel is touching the curb or not is beyond ridiculous and excessive. It might've been a realistic roleplay matter if the mayor had specifically stated that cars cannot park in DESIGNATED parking spots unless they're parked exactly like other cars and their wheel touches the curb. EVEN THEN you wouldn't be the one enforcing this because you are not a police tow truck driver.

While you're reporting me for "no knowledge of the rules" I am failing to see where I showed a lack of knowledge.

If there are no police tow trucks, then the duty should fall onto Tow Truck Drivers. Which is what I am doing. I have every authority to tow cars as you stated. It's in the name "Tow Truck".

I didn't tow your car because it wasn't touching the curb, I towed it because your RIGHT wheels weren't aligned with the RIGHT side of the curb. You are completely backwards in the spot. For you to pull out, you would have to do a 3-point turn, and impede traffic. That's why its illegal. Look at all the cars around you. They are all parked the correct way. ALL CARS in the U.S. Drive on the right side of the road. Doesn't matter what state you are in. Since we drive on the right side of the road, we PARK on the right side of the road. You go to any state. It is the same law. You must park on the right side of the road.

If this was Europe. You would be correct in the way you parked. since they drive on the LEFT side of the road. but since we drive on the RIGHT side. We park on the right with our wheels to the right. You say you have a drivers license. You should know this.

'Those laws differ by state anyways."

Here is every states DMV handbook and I am going to link you where you can find parallel guidelines since you think its different per state.

What all 50 states have in common is that all the cars are parking on the RIGHT side of the road.
Let me know if you find a state that doesnt park their cars with their right tires along the right curb :)

Good afternoon, thank you for your patience on the decision for the Staff Report.

Let me go ahead and make some points and the final verdict on your report.

The situation itself:
While you are technically correct about the law of how cars should be parallel parked, this is truly down to state legislature. Being that Monolith is our fictional state, it is automatically assumed we would follow state legislature similar to that of Illinois, which is what Rockford's laws were based off of if I am not mistaken. So yes, this car was in fact parked improperly and subject to a fine, which would be handled and subject to the TrueNorth Police Department, not a vehicle mechanic. You should have either been a Police Tow job, or a Police Officer+ to handle this situation, not a tow truck driver for the city mechanic's shop.

All of this simply could have been handled in character, however unfortunately this did escalate to the point of a staff report, and this is where the other side of the coin comes in.

Shiblamo should of course not have handled his own situation, or situations in relation to his organisation. He will be spoken to about this and be informed for that in the future, he should not handle situations which involve him(as this was his vehicle) or his organization should a situation like this transpire in the future.

I do not see this situation needing further action as this was a simple roleplay situation that should honestly have been handled more in character than in a staff situation, as the tow truck driver was not acting properly in terms of his job and should not have been doing the job of the police department. If you are a tow truck driver for the mechanic shop, you are to tow cars that are stuck or need repairs back to the mechanic shop, not act as the Police Tow job and bust people for not parking properly.

With that all said, I will be removing the blacklist against you purely on the sake that it was given / issued by the same person involved in the situation, but let me be clear that in the future I want some improvement from you.

You will not use the Tow Truck Driver job to handle violations of city traffic ordinances;
and you will not belittle or harass a staff member even if he is in the wrong. You have all the right to make a staff report, but you have 0 right to belittle him because he did not know every single state's legislature of how to parallel park in a video game.

Handled.
