Description of suggestion: Allow government jobs, especially medics and firefighters, to call 911. Even the police should be able to call paramedics through 911 because there is no dispatch and it's often easier to show the location on the map than to describe it on the radio.
Reason why it should be added: The main reason is that there's no effective way for medics or firefighters to call the police. They can't use the law enforcement radio. Text-based radio is practically useless as it gets ignored.

Hey @Kresny ,

I agree with your statement made in the suggestion that the majority of people who join the government jobs do not actually use the radio or 911 system, in fact, the majority muted their radio's and disregard 911s as a result of un-organization on the radio for instance. Certain government jobs such as Fire, EMT & Police have the ability to see each others location on the MonoTalbet on the 911s system but I don't believe anyone uses it.

People who roleplay on government jobs who do not have access to defensive weapons to protect themselves while on duty should have a better way of notifying/communicating with Law Enforcement in case of an emergency. Now, on this point. Fire & EMT should be given the ability to press their "panic" button on their radio which gives Law Enforcement (Police) a different type of notification that you are in distress which informs them of your location and the job you are currently in for example:

Emergency Panic Button - Activated

Name:
Medical Director, Jack Dobar

Location: Hospital

Panic Button Activated: 01:03 AM

The suggestion I have no added on to yours can really boost the roleplay aspect for government workers and make sure you are not as defenceless as criminals don't really care who the person is or what their job is nowadays. Related Content:

@SCOTTISH Sorry but panic button suggestions are not allowed on this forum.
Proof: seven panic button threads have been removed, including 2 that I created.

Declined for no reason: https://monolithservers.com/forums/threads/panic-button.7541/
Denied without a reason stated: https://monolithservers.com/forums/threads/lifes-hard.16346/
Declined for no reason: https://monolithservers.com/forums/threads/suggestion-panic-button.4835/
Denied because it could encourage bad RP if it were a hotkey without an animation: https://monolithservers.com/forums/threads/police-panic-button.7972/
Denied because the previous ones have been declined. Srsly: https://monolithservers.com/forums/threads/add-a-panic-button-for-police.15852/
No priority 5 months ago: https://monolithservers.com/forums/threads/the-new-panic-button-a-monotablet-app-for-cops.18159/
"How many times do we have to deny this": https://monolithservers.com/forums/threads/panic-button-edition-7-integrating-911-calls-a-tablet-app-or-an-icon-or-a-hotkey.21246/

Hence panic buttons are against the unwritten forum rules, so I advise not discussing them or this thread will be locked.

This is fantastic. Especially for Mechanics this is useful, because mechanics seem to get mugged all the damn time for repairing cars for free. I know it isn't allowed in the rules, but mechanics don't tend to make reports because it isn't worth their time.

That's why I TRIED TO suggest only qualified jobs being able to use it. But nope, my thread got removed in an instant. The level idea is a bad solution. I'm player level 48 even though as a cop I'm 200. It would have to be brought down A LOT. Limiting it to job levels would probably work better.
As to 911 calls, everyone should be able to make a 911 call for minor things. I see absolutely no reason for medic interns or fire cadets not being able to call the police.

only reason I use the ability to track other emergency services is to chase down ems when they don't respond even when offered toffifee

Dude, the whole point of this thread is that people don't look at the chat and ignore the messages. You've just literally ignored the main point.

people do look at the chat though
This video proves that:
1. They don't.
2. Cops can drive past a shootout and ignore it - (at least) TWICE. Pay close attention to Dodge Charger engine sounds, a Crown Victoria in the beginning and another unmarked one passing the scene later in the video.
3. Cops think that if a suspicious guy gives them (fake) information, he's definitely not a criminal.

The cops having ignored the shootout might have been due to NPC missions, which is why I've made this suggestion:

In addition- fires usually don't start in sensible places. How and why would a cop spend 2 minutes trying to describe a section of highway to the fire department with no distinguishable marking?

“it's got a bend in it” gee, thanks.
Its easier to let a civilian find it and call them later on with and instant location marker

Actually all high ranks can enter PD radio. Security Chief, EMS Director, Fire Chief, Mayor
Radio will need reforming then.
Let's be frank, it's a very small button to try and click when under heavy fire.

I consider myself lucky if the police get to hear me die over the radio, let alone communicate my location enough times for them to come and help.

That being said, my head is a bullet magnet- I can't imagine why.
