Can't pickup deployed items

When I first played the server about a year or two ago, I set my mic to alt. This unfortunately has caused me a problem. I could not pickup deployed objects(like plant pots, repair bench, etc.) when I first started playing and I am still not able to today. I have completely uninstalled and deleted all the files for Garry'sMod and the workshops files, but still cannot pickup objects. Can anyone help me figure out how to fix this, its hard to enjoy the server when a very vital function of the game does not work.

Change like slow walk to something else and then press that button you set to that then press E. It should work then
