Cant type or do anything after I press or type ~

I know I'm a mod and I'm asking a question but I have asked multiple staff members and they don't know how to fix this. Whenever I type ~ in chat my mouse is stuck on my screen and I can't click or do anything on gmod. Alt-tabbing doesn't work and the only solution is to just wait a while or restart gmod. Gmod doesn't freeze or anything it is still running normally but I can't move/type or anything. I cant press escape or any key. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

Turn off Discord overlay maybe? Only thing I can think of
