Title: Catch-up Mechanic

The server's dying and it needs new players. I think that a massive barrier to new players staying with the server is the way that a large portion of content is locked behind hours of boring grinding to increase player and skill levels. To remedy this and allow new players to catch up to veteran players faster, I'd recommend changing XP progression. Here's some ideas I have for that:
  • New players get an XP boost for a limited time (ex: 1 week of 2X XP after joining)
  • All players get a permanent XP boost
  • New players start with player XP (ex: New players start at player level 15)
  • New players start with player XP and skill XP (ex: New players start at level 10 skills)
  • Lower the player level requirements for jobs

New players should get an XP boost I agree. Us older players don't need it.
