Monolithogy is a religious cult based in Monoford, Washington that asserts its beliefs and practices are based on rigorous research, and its doctrines are accorded a significance equivalent to scientific laws. The main belief of Monolithogy is that Monoliths themselves are powerful machines built by an unseen extraterrestrial species that not only allowed humanity to progress beyond its primitive state, but has also been the cause of major conflicts and civil disorder. The extraterrestrial species, referred to as the "Supreme Beings", that allegedly built Monoliths are not described in much detail by the Church of Monolithogy's public indoctrination center. According to new membership pamphlets, extensive knowledge of extraterrestrial existence is only accessible to devote followers who have paid into a higher membership tier.

Monolithogy ideology emphasizes the importance of survival, which it subdivides into several classifications referred to as "anomalies". An individual's desire to survive is considered to be the first anomaly, while the second anomaly relates to procreation and family. The remaining anomalies encompass wider fields of action, involving groups, mankind, all life, the physical universe, the spirit, and infinity, often associated with the Supreme Beings. The optimum solution to any problem is believed to be the one that brings the greatest benefit to the greatest number of anomalies. It is also believed that higher levels of conscious can manifest in the mind the more an individual is in contact with a Monolith. As of 2020, many Monoliths have appeared in remote locations across the world with speculation that followers of Monolithogy are responsible.

Monolithogy is highly secretive and its followers are strictly forbidden from revealing their practices to those unassociated. Over the years, many affluent individuals have been rumored to been apart of the organization before disappearing from public life entirely. Currently, there is no definite information of a hierarchical structure existing within the organization and the head of the Church of Monolithogy institution remains unknown.
