A description of your technical issue: Whenever a player is supposed to be ragdoll‘d (I.e. tased, disoriented, dead) their corpse turns into a jumbled mess.
Has it happened before?: It’s been happening since I joined, I thought that’s just how they were but after watching some other people’s videos I realized that it’s broken.
Extraneous details/description: The picture below is a picture of someone else’s car problem I’ve been having as well, but that’s basically what the corpses look like. the other post said to turn my model settings on high, which I did, but it didn’t change anything.
Have you checked “solved” for your issue?: Yes.

the other post said to turn my model settings on high,
Did you also put texture settings to High? (Most settings have to be high enough for the models to work properly)
This type of jumbled mess is usually because one of your settings isn't set high enough for it to work properly. (From what I have experienced myself)

Unless are you talking about the video settings for gmod itself in options, or the monolith settings in the f3 menu? I haven’t really looked around the monolith settings so that could be the problem.

Make sure that in both instances the settings are set to a high enough option.

Everything is on high, and it was still the same. I just got css and half life mounted, but I haven’t gotten the chance to figure out if it worked yet.

I have CS:S, HL2, and both episodes mounted, all my settings are on high, and the ragdolls are still bugged. The glass on PD is also a missing texture.

My bites truck models were messed up, I had a similar issue. Delete all the addons from monolith in the addons folder in gmod C:/Program files x86/steam/steamapps/common/garrysmod/garrysmod/addons

Deleting everything inside and re-downloading the content for the server fixed it for me. You might also have a corrupted file within the data folder located in the garrysmod folder mentioned above, you can also try deleting everything in there. I would not recommend it however as it will delete anything with client side saves like whiteboard drawings ETC.

You might also try to check and see if you have CSS and other games selected within GMOD itself as sometimes they turn off for me as well. If these are not checked, they will not use the resource packs from the games. You can find this at the bottom right of the gmod menu by clicking on the games tab.

If all else fails, try using the launch parameter below on your gmod launch options on steam. Hopefully one of these works for you and good luck.
-dxlevel 90
I would like to point out that the bodies being crumbled up might just be a model bug that happens like 90% of the time depending on what model it is. It happens for me on prisoners and SS.

Please do not bother validating your Gmod game on steam, people say to do this but it just ends up wasting your time and is the laziest response to fixing things like this.
I would also like to stress if you have any custom launch commands within the auto.exec in your CFG folder, that you would screenshot it and list it here. One of your auto.exec commands might be lowering your model detail via that text and could be overriding your normal graphics options.

One final point I would like to mention, if you are using any other police models or have a lot of other models downloaded. They might conflict with the ones on the server and could be causing the model problems. If you don't find a solution, I would recommend just re-installing the game and only downloading mono related content to the game. Obviously this would be a last resort if you can't fix it.

Considering the fact that I have no idea what a custom launch command is, I’d say I don’t have them. And i made an interesting discovery earlier—the same bug happened on a different server. That makes me wonder if it is the conflicting models, or something in-game.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU, THAT WAS THE FIRST REAL ANSWER IV’E GOTTEN.

Yes, that was the problem, and I created a new addon preset for Monolith. The corpses are just fine now, and it all works like its supposed to!

The only problem left that I have is that the PD glass is a see-thru missing texture. It’s quite annoying, and I thought CSS would fix it, but apparently it doesn’t.

No problem, I’ve Been playing gmod since I was 15 and you find out pretty fast how some things fuck up and what does it.

If you are having the missing textures for windows I would strongly advise you switch to the x64 version of chromium beta for gmod and use the launch option on steam -dxlevel 90

If you have an issue finding how to set launch options via steam, simply google it. It’s very simple and takes literally 3 clicks

If that doesn’t fix your window textures, I personally don’t know how to fix it. The only time I have ever had window missing textures is when I used to play on my integrated graphics on my old laptop back in 2017. I would think it has to do with the direct X level you are using as most of the time missing window textures means your reflections are completely disabled.

Hello @Adrian Holt,

Has this issue been resolved for you or is it still a technical issue?
