Request Reason: False Demotion
Demoted me for my car in the emergency lane as a detective, literally was no where near the car up to prevent a suicide from an apartment building at park. Nitson says he requested the name of the detective over radio for parking in the emergency parking spot at hospital. He ran the license plate, had my name, and didn't even talk to me about it and just flat out demote me. PS. He didn't even contact me over government chat or any formal communication and never said my name, just the name of the vehicle. Joe Mammoth asks him why he demoted me and he said, "Lamborghini parked in the emergency lane". I believe he shouldn't be in the position of authority or power, having demoting people whenever he feels like it.

Police Handbook Quote
Dismissal from the department - Complete demotion removing all access from the department and its equipment. This is only used when extremely serious or repeated serious infractions are committed however if it does happen, do not expect to be let back into the ranks of the department afterwards.

When did the situation occur?: 1:31 AM PST, 11/10/21

Since NVIDIA is ass sometimes and decides itself when it wants to record my audio, this Captain did not even make it clear or even seem like he tried to get William's attention as it was his car in the Hospital area. He just quickly said "Who's lambo is this outside PD" runs the plate, then says "Oh its a detective" then demotes William. Voice comms as you all know the obvious are mostly hard to hear over 20 kids talking at once so he didnt even try to ask in Gov chat nor radio chat as William did not hear him. Even myself did not really hear him clearly describe and ask it to be moved or anything. Straight up demoted and flew out of my car.

I wish I would have kept the couple hours of video from this, this was not william's first infraction, I had problems out of him for a while and even told him at one point he was on thin ice, he ignored orders from me multiple times. If it had been the first problem out of him, he would not have received a demotion.

Please clarify what infractions, what problems, and what orders. The only infraction you publicly expressed was when I was searching a suspect's vehicle in the glovebox and gave me a warning to not do it again for some odd reason? When I was in the vehicle, searching the glovebox, you told me to get out of the vehicle, I did and showed you my badge. I don't know why but you said I was "running" while the vehicle was still? You then called me to PD to give me a warning and put me on "thin ice" for searching a suspect's vehicle? Joe Mammoth also witnessed all of the above. You're obviously not fit for a leadership role if I get put on "thin ice" for searching a suspect's vehicle lawfully.

I dont remember calling you to my office over or warning you for checking the glove box of a vehicle. I do remember asking for the badge to make sure you werent someone trying to steal it. Also, during the PD meeting the chief and I held you and many others were insubordinate and wouldnt listen to either me or the chief. That resulted in other demotes. I also remember having to tell you several times to leave when i was trying to talk to other officers about someone letting 3 suspects go. I do not give out false demotes, I havent before and i didnt plan on starting with you. Im sorry you feel it was unjust.

Yes you did give me a warning and you said, if I do it again I will be demoted. In this video it shows here.
1. I was never at that supposed PD meeting with the chief, otherwise I would bring up the issues of misconduct you had.
2. After you told me to leave the office I did and this happened more than an hour ago.
So to conclude the only basis you have is the office infraction which itself is not even serious and let alone this "thin ice" warning for searching the glovebox of a vehicle. Not to mention the actual demotion reason and handling of the situation. You never contacted or tried to talk to me to let me move my vehicle. You ran my license plate and flat out demoted me without talking to me. So, you demoted me based on a situation that happened an hour ago which I followed your order and having parked my vehicle in an emergency lane. This will be my last comment.

Again. I wish I had the evidence to support my claim but unfortunately I don't. I don't demote randomly. I haven't in over a year, and again I didn't plan on starting here. I'm sorry if it was unjust but I don't believe that it was.

Good evening.

After taking the day to think about this situation, I have reached the following conclusion:

Nitson, as the Captain, should know that demoting people on the spot is reserved for severe infractions or emergency's in which their actions threaten the stability and function of the department. Where possible, a formal dismissal from the department is advised for it allows them to discuss their actions and make a case for themselves. In this case, you did not provide this opportunity.

As @Nitson has a clean supervisor record, he will be reminded to RP these situations out in future this time though future infractions may result in harsher punishments.
Another factor we must consider is it is difficult to manage an entire PD effectively even with two people at the helm, and mistakes are guaranteed. Hence why this punishment wasn't as severe as it could've been.
