Your Steam Name: DangerRanger
Your Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:35198301
Your Character Name (If Applicable): Josh Tate

Admin being reported: (Tag by writing @ before their forum name) @friskiemar

Reason for Report: Un-arresting a prisoner even though it was a valid jail sentence and improperly handling an admin-sit.
Time of Occurrence: 11:23 PM PST 4-10-19
Evidence to support your claim:

(Video below is a essentially a bunch of typing, due to Friskiemar not taking us to a private/more quiet area for the sit)

Un-arresting the prisoner:
Me and another Detective had arrested Josh Young for numerous charges which added up to 30 years. Full list goes as follows with the time I put in for each charge: Fleeing and Eluding (10 years) Grand Theft Auto (7 years) Possession of an Illegal Firearm (10 years) and Dangerous Driving (3 years)

I did not make these numbers up myself, these are straight from the Official Monolith City Law Book on the Forums and presets from the booking NPC. Fleeing and Eluding and Posession of an Illegal Firearm are both 10 years due to being a preset at the booking NPC. They are also both maxed out at 10 years on the Law book as well. The Grand Theft Auto and Dangerous Driving charges were reduced. Grand Theft Auto is a maximum of 10 years, Dangerous Driving is a maximum of 5 years. He received 30 years when all charges were finalized and added up. Friskemar immediately un-arrested the prisoner because he felt "It was too long for fleeing and eluding." I explained the above charges to him but he still insisted on un-arresting the prisoner, even though it is not necessarily his choice in the matter and that the charges all were valid and fell under the rules per the Official Monolith City Law Book. Friskemar did accept the fact that the arrest was valid but claimed that the length of time was not.

"These punishments are not an exact amount that should be handed out but are instead the max amount that can be given, or the max amount you can be sentenced to jail depending on the discretion of the officer." As mentioned again, two charges were presets while the remaining two were reduced (Not put to maximum) by my discretion.

"Note: Please keep in mind that as usual you can be sentenced with more than one crime which could lead to a very large fine, or a large amount of jail time."

I can quote Friskemar stating "That would all add up to like 15 min. IMO"

Improper handling of the admin-sit:
After being teleported to the jail, I was immediately frozen next to the prisoner. The jail room had quite a lot of people already inside and was loud. I am not sure why Friskemar decided to keep us in that area for an admin-sit. Also, not sure why he wasn't using his microphone either; making communicating with him a little harder. People were interrupting left and right and being a nuisance, which is very hard to listen to while in an admin-sit.

As the sit was about to end Friskemar then turned around and stated to me "Get another report about this and you will be punished accordingly."

This can all been seen in the video above. Video is about 8 minutes long, but shows the entirety of the sit, if needed.

I spoke to several other staff members, they all agreed 30 minutes for what happened was too much.

The jailed suspect initially stole a vehicle and started a chase. The chase lasted around 7-15 minutes in (both of you guys said 7-8 mins but logs show he lock picked the only door 15 mins before you shot him).

The sit was initially called because of a false code red, after explaining that the code red was not false, the jailed suspect proceeded to complain about the length of his jail time. I asked him how long and he responded with 30 minutes.

The jailed suspect was put in jail for 30 minutes under the following crimes:

-Felony fleeing and eluding (fleeing and eluding + reckless driving)

-Unlawful possession of a firearm

-Grand theft auto

At no point in time did he brandish said firearm, at no point in time was he a direct threat to anybody's well being. He did not cause any bodily injury to anybody.

With the facts stated above, I felt as though 30 minutes for those crimes was too long.

I attempted to explain the situation to you but you decided to ignore me and give me an attitude.

IRL felony fleeing and eluding is maximum 1 year in prison.*

IRL unlawful possession of a firearm is up to 5 years in prison.*

IRL felony GTA is up to 3 years in prison.*

*depends on which state of course.

Add all those up together and you receive a total sentence of 9 years.

All of the staff on at the time agreed that 30 years was too much and I acted upon that.

I genuinely do not understand why you made a staff report, you were not even punished for what happened, I just told you not to punish people for too long. I was not even going to put it in your notes, but then you gave me an attitude.

Furthermore, I attempted to explain to you that the numbers that are suggested in the prisoner processing NPC are not law and are simply suggestions.

I also told you to exhibit some amount of common sense when issuing jail time, to which you responded with frustration.

After I attempted to wrap the situation up and I told you not to sentence players for so long, you proceeded to get frustrated to which I responded "Get another report about this and you will be punished accordingly". To me that was more of a warning and not a threat.

When I finally un-jailed the suspect you started to get aggravated. That was my sign to end the sit right then and there.

Real life sentences do not correlate here at all. The Monolith RP rules say otherwise. Again, this is all based upon what the presets are for crimes along with the Official Monolith City Law Book.

If the Law Book states that I can arrest someone for these crimes up to said amount of time, why would you un-arrest them? That is simply what I did. I followed the Law Book to the letter and put them in for 30 minutes, which it all adds up to.

To have an Official Law Book be thrown aside when followed doesn't make much sense. That is the key point here.

I've been mainly playing as Police on Monolith since I started months ago. I have always followed the Monolith Law Book when booking prisoners and I have never had a Staff member tell me otherwise until now. I have been pulled many times and asked "Why was this person arrested and for how long" When I responded to the Staff member the reasons and length; I have always been told "That sounds about right"

This report has been concluded, and after talking with friskiemar, we have decided to issue a probation following this incident.

It could have been handled a lot better, and after talking with friskiemar, he is now aware of how to handle situations like these better.
