VCMod Guide
VCMod is what the server uses to control its vehicles for the most part, so I decided why not make a guide on how to configure it and what all the settings and controls do / modify.

Open the vcmod menu by typing /vcmod or you could type vcmod in console if /vcmod isn’t working

Main Controls
Hold Key
- This key needs to be pressed while performing another action with anything relating to the main controls.
Hold Duration - The duration you need to hold the two keys you assigned for a certain action, the duration will only take effect if you have the box of the action checked off with the green checkmark.

Note:
To change the default key to a different key click on the key and it will prompt you to select a different key.

Car Controls:
Horn
- press R - sets car horn off
Hazard Lights - Hold alt + middle mouse button - Turns your hazard lights on
Blinker Left - Hold alt + left mouse button - Turns left blinkers off / on
Blinker Right - Hold alt + right mouse button - Turns right blinkers off / on
Low Beams - Press F once - Turns low beam lights off / on
High Beams - Hold F - Turns your high beams off / on
Cruise Control - Press B once - Controls the speed of your car

POV Controls:
Look Behind
- Hold Middle Mouse Button (mouse 3) - Makes your view switch to behind your vehicle
Lock / Unlock - Alt + N - Locks / unlocks your vehicle

I left out all the actions that aren’t used on the server

ELS Controls:
Manuel Siren
- Press T once - Forces your sirens on
ELS Siren Switch - Click left mouse button once - Switches your sirens to the other variations
ELS Siren Toggle - Hold left mouse button - Turns vehicle sirens off / on
ELS Lights Switch - Click right mouse button once - Switches your els lights to another variation
ELS Lights Toggle - Hold right mouse button - Turns vehicle els lights off / on

To enable / disable things in this section of the vcmod menu, all you need to do is simply check / uncheck the corresponding box.

Client Side Controls
Enabled Client Side - Enables / disables the car health and light indicators hud
Blurred / Rays - Option on if the lights will be seen as a blur or ray in the distance
Visibility Distance - How far the lights can be seen from (can reduce lag if distance is reduced)
Main - Main texture on the outline of the vehicle lights
Warmth - Creates a new light which blends the other lights together
Lines - The lines seen around the lights, if they’re bright enough
Glow - The transparent glow on the outer bands of the lights
Multiplier: Increases / decreases the effect of each of the settings above

Note: I will only put things that are actually enabled on the server, if anything is ever added I will be sure to update this part of the guide.

Effects:
Enabled - Enables / disables all the options in the tab
Skidding - Creates a skid / brake effect on the driving surface
Sparks - Creates a spark effect while the tires of a vehicle are flat
Audio: Enable / disable sound while performing the corresponding action

Tire Tracks:
Enabled
- Enables / disables all the options in the tab
Visibility Distance - Display tire tracks up until a given point (can modify distance)
Fade out Time - Distance at which tire tracks are now seen (can modify distance)
Detail %, Performance Impact - The detail of the tire track (can modify detail)
Flat Tire - Leaves a mark on the road if the vehicle has a flat tire

Third Person View:
Dynamic View
- Enables / disables all the options in the tab
Speed Tilt - Third Person pov moves back and forth when the vehicle starts to move
Advanced / Lerp - In advanced mode, a vehicle is much harder to control, while in lerp it is much easier to control
Auto Focus - Focuses the camera behind the vehicle
Reverse - Focuses the camera in front of the vehicle while backing up
Height - How high behind the vehicle the camera will focus
Vector Stiffness % - How far the camera will go up while the vehicle is moving and then return to normal
Angle Stiffness % - How much third person view will sway side to side
Height - Camera height in third person pov’

ELS:
Interior indicators
- Lights inside a vehicle that indicate which indicators you’re using
Multiplier: Increases / decreases how bright the light is
Dynamic Lights - Creates more detail within the lights, if enabled (will cause more lag if enabled)
Multiplier: Size of the lighting
Extra Glow - Makes ELS lights brighter by adding extra glow
Multiplier: Size of the lighting

Does anyone else find some cars really hard to steer especially the Police Crown Victoria. It's hard to describe, like sensitive. An admin told me it was just server options but anyone else???? Maybe there's a fix but if it's serverwide then im fine, Im sorry if I have ran you over by accident lol. Unless you were jaywalking, then im not xD. - Jeff Ford

Change advanced to lerp in third person view, under options in the VCMod settings.

Changing it to lerp only makes third person still, while advanced causes your pov to move around while in third person.
