VCMod Guide
VCMod is what the server uses to control its vehicles for the most part, so I decided why not make a guide on how to configure it and what all the settings and controls do / modify.
Open the vcmod menu by typing /vcmod or you could type vcmod in console if /vcmod isn’t working
Main Controls
Hold Key - This key needs to be pressed while performing another action with anything relating to the main controls.
Hold Duration - The duration you need to hold the two keys you assigned for a certain action, the duration will only take effect if you have the box of the action checked off with the green checkmark.
Note: To change the default key to a different key click on the key and it will prompt you to select a different key.
Car Controls:
Horn - press R - sets car horn off
Hazard Lights - Hold alt + middle mouse button - Turns your hazard lights on
Blinker Left - Hold alt + left mouse button - Turns left blinkers off / on
Blinker Right - Hold alt + right mouse button - Turns right blinkers off / on
Low Beams - Press F once - Turns low beam lights off / on
High Beams - Hold F - Turns your high beams off / on
Cruise Control - Press B once - Controls the speed of your car
POV Controls:
Look Behind - Hold Middle Mouse Button (mouse 3) - Makes your view switch to behind your vehicle
Lock / Unlock - Alt + N - Locks / unlocks your vehicle
I left out all the actions that aren’t used on the server
ELS Controls:
Manuel Siren - Press T once - Forces your sirens on
ELS Siren Switch - Click left mouse button once - Switches your sirens to the other variations
ELS Siren Toggle - Hold left mouse button - Turns vehicle sirens off / on
ELS Lights Switch - Click right mouse button once - Switches your els lights to another variation
ELS Lights Toggle - Hold right mouse button - Turns vehicle els lights off / on
To enable / disable things in this section of the vcmod menu, all you need to do is simply check / uncheck the corresponding box.
Client Side Controls
Enabled Client Side - Enables / disables the car health and light indicators hud
Blurred / Rays - Option on if the lights will be seen as a blur or ray in the distance
Visibility Distance - How far the lights can be seen from (can reduce lag if distance is reduced)
Main - Main texture on the outline of the vehicle lights
Warmth - Creates a new light which blends the other lights together
Lines - The lines seen around the lights, if they’re bright enough
Glow - The transparent glow on the outer bands of the lights
Multiplier: Increases / decreases the effect of each of the settings above
Note: I will only put things that are actually enabled on the server, if anything is ever added I will be sure to update this part of the guide.
Effects:
Enabled - Enables / disables all the options in the tab
Skidding - Creates a skid / brake effect on the driving surface
Sparks - Creates a spark effect while the tires of a vehicle are flat
Audio: Enable / disable sound while performing the corresponding action
Tire Tracks:
Enabled - Enables / disables all the options in the tab
Visibility Distance - Display tire tracks up until a given point (can modify distance)
Fade out Time - Distance at which tire tracks are now seen (can modify distance)
Detail %, Performance Impact - The detail of the tire track (can modify detail)
Flat Tire - Leaves a mark on the road if the vehicle has a flat tire
Third Person View:
Dynamic View - Enables / disables all the options in the tab
Speed Tilt - Third Person pov moves back and forth when the vehicle starts to move
Advanced / Lerp - In advanced mode, a vehicle is much harder to control, while in lerp it is much easier to control
Auto Focus - Focuses the camera behind the vehicle
Reverse - Focuses the camera in front of the vehicle while backing up
Height - How high behind the vehicle the camera will focus
Vector Stiffness % - How far the camera will go up while the vehicle is moving and then return to normal
Angle Stiffness % - How much third person view will sway side to side
Height - Camera height in third person pov’
ELS:
Interior indicators - Lights inside a vehicle that indicate which indicators you’re using
Multiplier: Increases / decreases how bright the light is
Dynamic Lights - Creates more detail within the lights, if enabled (will cause more lag if enabled)
Multiplier: Size of the lighting
Extra Glow - Makes ELS lights brighter by adding extra glow
