Monoford PD - Special Weapons and Tactics (S.W.A.T.) - Training Session

Training Session​

The Monoford Police Department Command requests that certain law enforcement agents attend the training session that will take place at the Monoford Conventions Center, at 3:00 PM EST. The law enforcement officers that must attend the training sessions are those with the following ranks:

• Chief of Police
• Assistant Chief of Police
• Any on duty S.W.A.T. officers

Note - This is a voluntary training course that will build advanced and specialized skills in those who attend, anyone who wishes to attend may do so.

Training topics: Special Weapons and Tactics + Major Crime Procedures

Training regime:

1. Brief lecture on the use of perimeters
2. Hostage negotiation techniques
3. Proper use of specialist equipment and vehicles
4. Tactical Maneuvers
5. Breaching and Clearing
6. Marksmanship training

Results: This lecture will work to build and strengthen specialized tactical skills, as well as giving the information needed to effectively handle and prevent major crimes. After the lecture attendants will know how to properly establish and maintain a tactical perimeter. They will know how to properly negotiate with a criminal or other malicious parties/individuals, including when to call negotiations off. They will have an established understanding of the specialized equipment and vehicles available to S.W.A.T. and how to use them. Finally, they will understand how to properly breach and clear any government, residential, commercial, or industrial property that a situation may take place in.
