PARALAKE: GOVERNMENT SECRETS
On the 23rd of August 2019, a non identified flying object showed up on paralake, flying above suburbs. Paralake's Police Department started receiving 911 calls and went to the place, in order to investigate... They found a mothership flying on top of the suburbs park. As they started shooting at it, several creatures started appearing on the ground, in order to defend the hive. Lots of lives were lost that day...
The Mayor issued an city wide emergency state, in order to alert all civilians to seek shelter and stay inside their homes, for their protection. After a few hours of war and fighting the creatures, knowing it was impossible for them to win, the Police Department and the Mayor decided to create shelter at the bank. They encouraged all citizens to go to the bank, inside the vault. A perimeter was established around that building, with the intent of preventing any creatures from getting inside. Both police and armed civilians were ready to defend the place at all costs, knowing that the majority of paralake's civilians were inside and were counting on them.
Later on, the mothership started moving, towards the lake, near the bank. The creatures were looking for something very specific... What could it be? Once the ship stopped moving, it was on top of the lake. There was an explosion near the industrial area, which resulted in the city's power going down. The emergency generators started working, allowing the Monorail to keep functioning.
A few minutes after that incident, several creatures started heading towards the bank, and a second invasion took place. Everyone was fighting for their lives: police, bank security, normal civilians, even criminals... Unfortunately, the majority lost their lives in combat, at the bank. The aliens managed to infiltrate the vault, as the door was opened from the outside, by people that were desperate to get in, in order to survive! Little did they know, they were doomed.
National Guard showed up, moments after that, in order to take down the hive. 10 helicopters were sent with one mission and one mission only: to destroy the ship, at all costs. Afterall, humanity's survival was at stake! Unfortunately, 7 of them were destroyed on the way to the city, by flying creatures. The 3 remaining ones managed to escape and complete their mission successfully!
Whatever they were looking for is still in the city... and no one knows what it is. Are they going to return? Should the city and country be prepared for another threat such as this? The U.S. government remained silent during and after the situation. The President of the United States only mentioned that everything will be done in order to prevent another attack, such as the one that took place.
In the meantime, power has been restored in the city of Paralake and all services are working properly.
May those who fought the aliens rest in peace. Both them and everyone that is still alive and took part in it shall be remembered as heroes, forever!
