Police/Sheriff

Monolith needs to make Sheriff deputies and City Police more realistic like how most of the United States does it.
The Sheriff's department is the highest authority of the county, a county is a land mass that has MULTIPLE CITIES within it.
Sheriff's Office needs to be a seperate job with a seperate supervisor, and the SHeriff himself has to be voted in like the Mayor, otherwise the Next rank of the Sheriff's department would be in charge.
The CIty PD should remain the same, but respect that SHeriffs have the highest authority, but in the end, both departments worth together and no one can arrest the other.
HERE IS WHY:
CITY PD captains and/or chiefs are dick heads sometimes, and rage quit players like me and others, so we need a 2nd department of choice if we only want to be police on the server.
Another reason: 99% of cases, the Sheriff in the united states has the highest authority of the county

I think we can do without the power complex, and do better by not even starting a conversation about jurisdiction.
I believe a "primary area" could be better, and whichever county a suspect is arrested in, they go to that jail (oops one department).

If there is one thing to take away, most agencies work together to stop whatever situation arises, no questions. Don't need to overcomplicate things.

I can go either way for the Sheriff's election, but maybe it could be a Mayoral decision. If there is no Mayor, then citizens vote.

Agree, although I'm still learning the map myself, I still think two departments are acceptable. I do wish they were a bit more "separated" though, and had tasks such as Baliffing, Mayoral Protection/Escort, and duties like the US Marshals. I don't think we need as many ranks as the PD has, but I think we sheriffs should focus on expanding their place in law enforcement as a whole. Do it right, and it can show stand-out officers.
