As an on and off Sheriff in monolith I have noticed a few things I would like to explain for when new players want to be police. There are some simple things to know that are easy to follow but people still have the brain deficiency to not follow. First tip to police DO NOT ARGUE AND SCREAM LIKE A CHILD HAVING A TEMPER TANTRUM CAUSE HE DIDN'T GET THE TOY HE WANTED IN RADIO.

Comms Are important, Make sure you keep comms clear and use it mainly for callouts EX: This is Sheriff.White I will be performing a traffic stop on a (vehicle description) on Main Street can I get 1 additional unit.

Corruption: Corruption is only allowed if given permission from a staff member. Anything you do is corrupt can get you arrested and demoted. And if non-permitted corruption takes place it could even lead to an admin situation.

Traffic stops: A traffic stop is to be initiated by starting your ELS (Lights) and use your manual siren to let him know there is an officer behind, If after tapping your siren and letting him know fails. Turn on the Full Siren. Once the vehicle stops pull safely behind him so that you are not blocking the road. Do not leave your car in the road like an idiot. It causes traffic bullshit that cops like to blame on civs even though its a cops cruises in the middle of the street. When the vehicle is stopped safely run the plate for the vehicle. (f3) an easy way to run plates is to open the menu and set plate scan to ON. then where you will see a row to type license plates click SCAN and any Plate directly infront of your cruiser will instantly log into the computer then just click search. After a plate runs with a name and details make sure you know the name listed as ownership of the vehicle (as you never know if it is stolen) Also make sure to check on the name of the owner for any warrants licenses or any info needed. after that is complete walk up to the pulled over vehicle and request his license. As of now there are 4 scenarios that can play out.

A) everything checks out, If nothing is wrong with the driver (warrants,Illegal Firearm,Stolen Vehicle,ETC) Then inform him on what driving offence he made to be pulled over and give him a FAIR ticket according to the offence.
B) The driver is either (Wanted,Stole the vehicle,Has an illegal Firearm,ETC) at this moment you should request a second officer to come on the scene because you don't know if he is going to attack you or not, Once you know it is safe to continue, Request him to get out of his vehicle and place him in cuffs.
C) They will get out and pull weapons. At this point there are 2 options. If less then 4 people are holding guns on you you may open fire if you really want to (not suggested unless its just 1 guy or maybe 2) or If there are 4+ People with guns on you you are in Fear RP meaning you must comply.
D)They will take off from the traffic stop. Pretty simple. Chase they're ass callit in in radio EX: In pursuit of a red nissan shopingcart currently heading down main street need additional units.

WILL UPDATE LATER

I'm liking the guide! A few ideas perhaps:
  • Add common 10-* codes
  • To be more specific, corruption must be SA+ approval
  • Behavioral expectations in further depth, perhaps add a few more situations, like raids, hostage situations, checkpoints etc.
  • Maybe even a hierarchy of ranks (which should be fairly obvious, but just incase)
These were just a few ideas I thought off the top of my head that you can work on when you get to updating this. Other than it being a WIP, it's looking good!

I thought it was just 2 people needed for civilians and 1 for anyone in the police department which I was told forgot by which staff
2 civilians or 2 detectives. A single uniformed officer.
