Rant on suggestions getting removed...

Seriously frustrated. Why would you move suggestions off of the forums? nobody new is gonna realize what github is. What the fuck is github? idc if you guys are trying to consolidate things which look i get it, but new players ain't gonna know about that shit. Never announced the change either. Anyway...
1. Make tax rate visible in the same fashion as drug/black market dealer
2. Bring back forum suggestions so that more new players can make suggestions that we would have never thought about
3. Great on you guys for making cooking pots stack to 6
4. Make bait stack to 16
5. VC mod fixed after allowing us to spawn our own cars? make that a thing for the monoford map. It was already confusing enough for new players to find the door to the spawn.
6. Thank you for keeping southside day until christmas. That will bring a ton of new players
7. Promote the mods more. Great mods like benpd and console got promoted wayyy too late. Skojen 100% deserves higher than SA but idk if that's highest a non founder can go. If they know the rules and enforce them well, apply the promotion ffs...
8. And final thought, you guys are doing a great job listening to the community. Great communication, and you guys are starting to listen to us. SO MUCH respect to the dev team as these last few months have been the best.

I'm gonna have to agree tbh. At the very least it should have been announced (and let people see their old suggestions to migrate them if they didn't migrate them all by hand). That and Github is a bit more of a technical tool than most people would be familiar with (which also requires an additional account) than the forums do.

Edit: Also, some of us already have github accounts that may have our real names on them, and may not be comfortable sharing that real name with the whole monolith community.

To be fair, This was my main frustration and i'm glad you responded. I'm still really happy with the changes that have been made for our server, However I'm really unhappy with suggestions being removed.

I will say 1 thing my main problem with the staff team is that they do not prioritize sits. Other servers would panic if a sit would be open for more than 10 minutes but on mono a sit can be open for 2 hours while 5 staff members are on i find this unacceptable. And would like to see a shift in staff behavior where they prioritize sits over their own RP. Also would like to see a policy change allowing staff to take sits from their own org if clear evidence is available.

+support on all the things here besides the southside day, not a big fan of the map personally myself but a lot of people seem to like it so fair. Also keep in mind there are occasionally internal staff reasons for why some staff aren't promoted as quickly as others. Skojen for sure does (eventually at least) deserve to be promoted, from both what I've seen as a player and as a staff member.

The great deal about reports in game, is that.. yes that they actually prioritize some reports over the orders, easier-to-solve reports. you don't believe me?

Do this:
-Wait to see many ppl complaning about their reports regard rule-breaking not being taken at OOC.
-Have at least 3 staff on duty at time
-Make a "car stuck" report and have a staff teleport to you in less than 10s.
If there is a considerably amount of staff on duty at time, notice that's not the same staff who comes at you if you open a report like this in a short period of time from the last
If the others were busy on sits or doing anything else, why would they stop whatever they re doing to claim my silly car stuck report, when previously i have had someone unbusy to claim this same sort of ticket? Maybe they are all trying to claim my report at the same time?
I've been creating those car stuck reports since i got my F&F 2 years ago when i joined, it was aways funny to me notice this.

The other funny thing to notice, is that they seem to stay longer and more often in duty, claiming more reports at the beginning of the month, while at the end of the month the opposite happens. btw im not sure about this one, this might just be a wrong impression.

Stuff like car/player stuck get done pretty much instantly because they can be solved pretty much instantly (Without even needing to go on duty sometimes). Its a lot easier to deal with "I'm stuck pls tp me out" than to deal with "My friend's dog got murdered by the mayor's best friend's boss who called us gay."

Prioritizing sits over playing on the server, is not the reason they became staff. I see them on staff on duty 80% of the time when I play and from the viewpoint of someone who is friends with a staff, they are on staff much more than actually playing.

Allowing staff to take reports for their own org members is something even if reverted staff would stay away from, once they start doing it. They will get bias reports 24/7.

At the end of the day it's a community issue. It's about how we all are treating one another and empathizing (or lack there of) with each other.

The staff are doing an unpaid volunteer job that is filled with abuse. You have to understand that from their perspective it's "entitlement" to demand their already freely given time. They're doing what they can, as they can do it, it's asking too much to expect more of their, again, volunteered time. It's easily perceived as an insult as it could be taken as you saying they aren't doing enough. It's getting mad that the volunteer isn't volunteering enough in your eyes. While you can farm or fish or RP passively while waiting for your report to get taken, they hop report to report without really getting a chance to play or RP. They don't get a pay check as "Staff On Duty" they get no reward for tickets. No reward for dealing with hostile players who threaten to report you every time a sit doesn't go there way. Sometimes they even get excluded out of things because they are staff.

Players no longer see staff as players in a volunteer role, they're just staff, so they should be doing staff stuff all the time, whenever we need it. Oh my report has been open for 20 minutes and the two mods on the server haven't taken it, instead of attempting any benefit of the doubt it's immediately "Oh they're being lazy and don't want to take my report." Which even if it is the case, could be completely justified. Imagine taking a sit where the kid just was screaming non stop for 10 minutes, so you go to take a break, get coffee, come back and have 8 reports and half of them are just complaining you won't respond to previous ones. Everyone is so quick to jump to conclusions without giving the staff team the benefit of the doubt. Yes there are certainly times where certain tickets are just straight up ignored or a delayed response for literally no reason other than they didn't want to do it at that time. But even so they are human beings with limits, expecting them to be report pumping machines isn't fair to them or to the players who would get a burnt out admin at their sit.

If your response to all that is "Well then they shouldn't be staff then". Go apply, be staff for a month and hold that same opinion after you've had you and your families lives threated because you won't refund someone's virtual SCAR-H.

Really? I thought SOD had one of the highest paychecks in the game. Anyhow if players are threatening staff on a regular basis id say we need to punish these people. You threatening a staff member's family because you aint getting what you want? Here have a perma ban! Add a rule saying you are not allowed to threaten with reports either make one of shutup! Staff indeed are volunteers thgey dont warrant getting such verbal abuse and we need to have very strict and serve punishments on people that do. However being a volunteer does mean you volunteer your time to be staff so i still hold the opinion reports take priority over their RP if they dont wanna put in the time then why are they staff?

This may be news to you, but all the staff joined the community as players then became staff. They all joined to play then decided they wanted to help out when they can.

Fr man, i dont use github and im not gonna start using it just to make suggestions, no new player will either. This change sucks and i dont see the point.

This, basic quality of life changes and listening to community is greatly appreciated.

I agree, IMO way too many new players/inexperienced ppl have been getting staff recently although it has decreased very recently. Less new staff, promote good ones.
