Post your Monolith story of when you first joined the server, how you went from being worth nothing, to where you are now.
I'll start:
I, Joe Mammoth, joined Monolith for the first time in mid-late September of 2019. When I first got on, I had no idea what I was doing. First, I did the 10,000$ quest and spent it all on a car, leaving myself with only $600 to spare. I then thought, well fuck... What am I gonna do now? I then proceeded to walk around asking experienced players what the best way to make a good starter money is. They told me farming. I farmed behind the townhall on paralake for about 5 days until I got around level 20 (Yes, a low level). Once I got to apples I started making profit, holding myself above 100k. Once I got to pineapples I REALLY got sick of farming and being mugged when I was salty about almost going under 100k because some weenie head with an mp40 decided to mug my poor ass plants. I thought, why not try and get my chemistry level up grinding LSD. Well... This was the worst idea: I joined "Chinese Mafia" and the LEADER, yes, the leader... told me "i'll help you out and get you far on this server." well that went to a pile of shit... I had 23k to my name and he begged me to buy a mini fridge (19,000) which left me with $3,000 to spare. He rented gray's apts. 4 and some asshole popped my alarm and decided to raid me... Holding my makarov with a pounding heart because I was the only one. I shoot plenty of bullets into him but his mak-11 beats me. The leader, kept spamming and yelling at me "kill him" "kill him" like in my head I wanted to tell him "f off" so bad. I then gave up and said screw this and left that org. After, I joined back to TGU which later got disbanded, so once upon a time, I met a friend named Nick Richards, based with him for a few days, which was a guy who actually helped me. I finally got my chemistry level to 52 after basing with a few AIMBOT friends and Nick. They thought I was a pretty cool guy but they didn't like my org I was in, AVLN, so Nick offered me to The Richard's Family.

When Monoford came out, I had met Waylon Cheyenne at the end of paralake and became pretty good friends with him. Soon after, I joined Cheyenne Minerals. I got level 99 stats for everything but Woodcutting in the 1-2 months I have been in this community and it surely has paid off from the work I have put into it. Now I can make hundreds of thousands of dollars when I take the time to do so. Mark released a new sexy 2019 Corvette ZR1 and I test drove it and had fell in love, especially with the beefy sound it has to it.

Funny thing to wrap it up... Rookies that were leveling their mining up, on paralake, dropped tons of chunks of different types on the ground 3 times out of 10 I went to the supermarket and I picked it all up and it managed to make me 30-40 class 3's on Monoford when I decided to process the chunks and manufacture them.

Since I’ve been here for 2 years, it would prolly take 10 paragraphs to tell my whole story, so I’ll just talk about my beginnings.

I joined in November of 2017, after watching a video from JMW films. I came totally new to gmod Dark RP, and me being a person of habit, it’s unsual for me to try new things like that, but something drove me to try it out. When I joined a wide eyed makarov bandit I did the first thing about 90% of all new players do, which is go cop. After an agonizing week of being a cadet, I Made it to officer, which is were my main fame and becoming a huge meme occurred, during one fateful day walking into a gas station.

I continued to speed up the ranks and by no time I was LT, I still didn’t have a good outlook on anything except cop. So from November to Early Feburary, I was a perma cop. After those 2 and a half months of pure cop grinding, I made it to 150k in cop paychecks, prior to that I held off on buying any cheap car because I wanted to save up for something I really wanted. But after reaching 150k, I finally made my decision and purchased a grey Sabaru BRZ. I remember being so excited, like I bought my first car in real life. I loved that car to death, that’s when I finally stopped maining cop and wanted to see everything else.

For a few days after buying my first car I just drove around bored, until I saw an ad for a new org that was recruiting called mac10. I met the leader in a warehouse, a dude called Vito Benedetti. Who took me in, we were total shitters and based with Mac11’s and deagles but I had so much fun with that bunch. It was with them that I met my longest standing friend, who is still here today, @NotDM after a good month or so, half the org (mostly new members) betrayed us and inside raided us and the org fell apart. Around that time I also met the homie @dylan7 who was in an allied org, we were makarov bandits together (still love you brotha) afterwards I moved onto many many new orgs, with new people met along the way. But that’s my story, or a little bit of it lmao. I could talk ALOT more about my time in unsanctioned and CSM, but this would become a Harry Potter book so ill leave it here.

I joined and met @shilly04 (DAY ONE) behind taco bell and we farmed together behind taco bell on rockford and then he bought me my first gun, an m1911 (I never played government jobs really until later). We raided and I remember growing my first weed plant in the bathroom of Richards 1. Met cool people like @Aqua00 and RONALD MCFONDLE LOL. Then we started making guns n shit for @Horrendous and his org. I remember selling you tons of stuff man, glocks, thompsons, all kinds of shit. I used to put them behind the dumpster at the supermarket lol

Russian Mafia was so bad dude we formed that and got warred by the Rockford Cartel the same day so we ended up leaving that after about a week and I joined the cartel and Sam Wong spilled acid on himself and then shot me thinking I spilled it on him. Cartel was fun made lots of friends and money but eventually the org was disbanded and I took a long ass break. Came back and joined Unsanctioned I think. (My memory is not the best) I think Albert (Unsanctioned leader I think) got banned for hax.

Chucky made Goof Troop joined that bought a purple omni, did a ton of coke, bought a skyline, threw a 200k upgrade on that, shot a lot of cops (as always), eventually we left that and eventually formed the Alcinia family with Vlad and started selling guns from the org page. Eventually Vlad quit and gave all of his stuff away and gave the org to me and I disbanded it. Now I'm orgless cause org beef is stupid and childish. I raid who I want. Steven Hanvey, that was my first name. I joined maybe mid near end paralake, I remember from the first day I was on I was a medic and stole a cop car. I got punished of course, I later joined a gang called south side. That was when I pulled off my first successful bank robbery with a man name Daniel Pogi.

Then truenorth came rolling around, a couple of gangs died down such as Viera Family, BBC, Frog Men, and a couple of more that I can't really remember, those are just the ones I knew. South Side was around on truenorth for a while, but soon disbanded. South Side turned into a gang named ABZ.

I wasn't known at all, I wanted to be big some day on the server. That was when I met a man named Haz Tos, even though he could be toxic he was a great friend. He helped me reach coke level and do more things.

Haz made Kings Men that I would later join, always getting raided by GS9, Narcos, or 1%. We decided to merge with a gang named Envy, the merge ended shortly. I joined Prime after that and it wasn't too good if I'm gonna admit it. Fast forward after joining prime I ended up in the Deluca family, it was boring due to us never doing anything, but it was filled with nice people.

Now here is the best part of the story, The Brown Coats. Oh man, I loved this gang. A bunch of people that had different personalities, oh and yeah all of us sucked.

Then Floridians is where I met @Wolv little did I know I found my partner in crime. Johnathan formed avln which later would disband.

ive been playing monolith for about 6 months (half a year! Holy time goes by fast) and I remember it like yesterday. I had an Xbox one and that’s what I would game on, I played ark survival evolved for a very long time and one day when Xbox live was down I remembered I had bought Gmod on my steam account a long time ago when I gamed on a Mac book pro playing Minecraft all the time.

I had remembered that I always wanted to get good at DarkRP so I thought why not try it... after loading into 2 servers I really didn’t enjoy it because of the downtown map being boring, I told myself I’m gonna join this server and if it’s the same I’m gonna just get off. I joined monolith and immedietly fell in love... I saw dudes who looked big and scary wearing blaclava and outfits I had not a single clue how much they costed.

I join medic intern as I was told that was a good job to start on, and a cool ems director drove me around in this super hot looking Dodge Charger all around the map and showed me about it, of course I didn’t have my seatbelt on and when we crashed into a tree it didn’t go well. HOWEVER! That wasn’t johnathan Doynas first time dying, he revived me and I lived on... until 10 minutes later we were reviving cops at the farm and I fell down a ladder making my body a pancake and died..

later on I told myself... I wanna be like these guys... I wanna be scary and have people look at me like a criminal, I wanted cops to look at me and say “oh sh*t that’s Doyna” and be scared. However I needed to get money to be able to do this... so while asking people (the date was about May 25th) I met a guy... little did I know this guy was someone who I didn’t know he was lmao, this was @wiz and he showed me how to do ups and get my drivers license etc.

After farming ups I level up to be a cop, majority of truenorth I was a cop till I had about 50k. During this time I met people like Alex brown, rhoan sellers, John Connor and dusty. Mind you monolith was really the first pc game I played so my aim was complete booty. However after I get money... I get my first few primaries, these 4 men taught me the ways. Also during this time I was in Floridians and met people like @Bobby Kurosaki ethan verelli and @Pizza and Jav javichu. I even started to stream monolith which helped bump my popularity.

The second paralake hit I was ready, I still was really bad at the game but I later made an org called AVLN which I’m sure some of you have heard about, and with my top sidemen being @Durag Singh The III @Pizza and Jav javichu we made it big. The war with aimbot wasn’t successful in our hands but was a lot of fun.

When monoford hit is when my skill slowly was getting better, I wouldn’t die to the stupidest stuff anymore and had a good idea of how to frag and play. During this time I also ended AVLN after the amazing run we had because I wanted to be solo just to release the stress running an org came with. From that moment on I am going to be solo unless an org that I like tries to bring me in (no offense to anyone I’ve said no too) but yea... the rest are history.

Well I have a very unique story and it's very long much like the others so grab your popcorn and lemme grab my PTSD pills

My story starts like this... So one day I get permanently banned from a different server I put 700+ hours into it and gone forever. I was in a slump so upset that I got banned keep in mind this was like 4 years ago. So I was joining servers trying to find a good one maybe it will stick. I joined Monolith it had a mere 64 players or so on the og Rockford I joined had no clue what to do so I asked a couple people ended up getting to the mine with a pickaxe. I mined for a couple hours sold to the npc and repeated it until I got bored. The next day I got to the level to become a cop became a hostage to a makrov bandit and bang. But I ended up quiting the server because I had no clue what to do so a couple months pass. Paralake just came out on the server I was bored playing Garry's mod so I decide to hop on this server that just stuck to the back of my head.

My real introduction
So I end up coming on paralake 1 week in I decide to get off cop and discover the criminal world so I find a job for a waterboy with a man by the name of Jake Kurosaki splendid man I was watering his weed in gray 5 for money keep in mind I had no clue about these guys, I asked Jake here if I could join his org and he led me to @CHØP aka Blaize Kurosaki and that was the start of my crime life. So Blaize wanted me to learn the ropes so that's exactly what I did I learnt every step to his madness he taught me how to use a gun for God's sake. We continued on doing weed in the apartment day after day after day until he decided time to have me become a real member of Reign Of Terror. He made us earn our money to change our name and buy the iconic striped clothing and straw hats. At this point it knew it was serious. Me and chøp and the rest of the boys made people pay over time with deagles and basically what we could get our hands on. Between all the crime and basing we hit the casino up and rolled that slots for hours on end my friend Kyle Kurosaki one day gave me 5k to do slots and I hit the jackpot, from their my balance sky rocketed I bought a new car and lived life. Then Florida came along the best second server in time wars on wars on wars on grinding just plenty fun. But during a dark period in paralake I took a break during that time numerous wars went down between Reign Of Terror and many big orgs so sad that I missed them. I returned to paralake near the end of it only a few Kurosakis remained chøp and I took to the streets one last time together in the Kurosaki name with mac11's and we absolutely doinked 8 kids in a 8v2. Once Truenorth came along I was lost helpless and forgotten. The Kurosaki name has faded and I'm the last left active member. I was looking for people to base with or even farm I was still new to the crime world. Then I met @dylan7 and @shilly04 and they introduced me to the Alcinia family and Vladimir. These guys brought me in like a brother and accepted me. The Alcinias were involved in many wars lost lots and won lots but we had a hell of a time they helped me gather a more of a diplomatic approach to the mono world instead of shoot first. Once the Alcinias fell I was once left open and lost. Then I met a @Buddyro22 and Jose (I forget his last name :/) they let me base with them a few days and then they accepted me as a human being. Then I met @Hello migo through Tyler and Jose and he helped me become friends with the whole group which then let me become friends with @Horrendous who I have remembered since Paralake just killing me in his lambo and his name just always popped. I was eventually accepted into the org where I became best friends with Mike(gone but not forgotten) Mike and i top 10 minges of all time for sure. I was accepted into Money Train Mafia at the time and then I met a fellow by the name Adam James, and his gang 1%. Adam even tho we were at war ingame talked to me like we were on the same side (damn I gotta hurry this up) eventually truenorth became a big blurr but I remember the wars between 1% and gs9 I was in gs9 at the time and they helped me get to coke and solidify my name as a baller shot caller. Near the end of truenorth I eventually met Edwig, Ethan, @table, and many more friends. These guys thought I was sketchy since they were the enemy for such a long time but they were great lads. Once Truenorth switched to paralake I felt a discomforting change in the air it wasn't the same. I fought many great wars with gs9 and I thought it was a good time for a change so I ended up leaving gs9. I ran solo for a little bit until Adam James took me into him and 1%'s arms. I eventually gained the trust of edwig table and most of the gang to become an official member. We played our secret anthem to formally add me to the group and the team song. Then fought a huge fight minutes after. Weeks later the 1% boys fell to a nasty disease that many catch. I was depressed I took a 2 month break from monolith. I ended up breaking my leg over that break and monoford came out. Recently I am hanging out with @Wolv and having a blast. A new breed of 1% is on the horizon. Well story time kids.

I started in March/April of 2019 in which I joined and bought all the starting equipment for the server. I then went mining and got my level up to iron and got my wood working high aswell. I then sold ore until I could buy all the factory equipment. Work began on my crafting level for making guns and did this until I bought a Nissan GTR.

Farming then was worked on until I hit max level as I had enough off gun making by this point, I had never PvPed until this time in which I became a makarov bandit. I then worked on my chemistry level with atakan until I could make coke. I bought a tesla model X and continued to grind coke until I could buy a Lamborghini reventon roadster. At this point I had a small collection of arms and a nice car. I built up my collection of arms with GS9 then joined money train mafia. Sugar co deed was now free so I copped that. I then became a big time fragger xD. I increased my collection of arms much further until I was super loaded then bought a P1.

I was also staff/mentor nearly from the very beginning as I gained knowledge fast and published a guide.

Unlike most people on monolith, I wasn’t a gmod veteran. I bought gmod on sale last year in July for $2.50 after I watched fudgy’s bank robbery video

First thing that happened to me was getting VDM’ed by an ambulance, I forgot they had vehicles in this server. I grinded EMS for a solid 2 weeks where it took me awhile to get any money at all since I didn’t know you could put your money in the bank, so I kept getting mugged for $2K+ at a time. I combat healed a lot

When I finally reached EMS director I spent an entire day trying to buy a metal desk from someone because I was trying to build myself an office. EMS got stale at a certain point so I grinded player levels at the ravine so I can become a police cadet.

Rockford wasn’t too bad for not having a car, but not having a gun didn’t help and I was too scared to spend my money on a gun as a civ.

Paralake came and I finally got enough XP to become a officer, turning on my lights for the first time was really a unique experience. This is where 1% would constantly base at penthouse so that’s where most of the action was.

After more grinding at the mines, I reached player level 50 and tried LSD for the first time. I based by myself with only a five seven and you can probably tell how that went. I lost 3 mini fridges in a day so I went looking for an org.

@Lamb invited me to the floridians, which is where I met RX55, @deku and @A Sack O' Salt. I based with those guys and with Benji who was in the sixth. That's how I got to base at penthouse. While the others defended the base against cops, I was doing LSD in a corner

After being denied for staff 3 times, I got accepted on november 25th. I try to RP sometimes like I used to but I mostly just donate my money to new players because I know how it felt being new and not knowing how to start

When i first joined, i was only playing medic. My first 200 hours were basically all being a medic. I made close to 300k from my medic job alone. After that i decided to join an org and got interested in joining Communist party. I met @Rufucuz the next day and he instantly sent me an invite. I had no car at that point and he advised me to buy the Camaro which i still have to this day. Unfortunately, after a couple weeks or so, communist party became inactive and rufucuz decided to take a break.

I left communist party at that point and met another of my future friends named @haztos and joined Kingsmen the same day. Unfortunately, an incident happened that day which, though had nothing to do with Haztos but made me salty and i decided to become org-free for a while. My time in Kingsmen was just a few hours. Me and haztos remained good friends after that and still are to this day. Same with Rufucuz.

Then i joined a lesser known org named Corruption and it was during my time at Corruption that i made big money. And i made it from titanium alone. I used to mine to my full inventory space mostly twice a day and used to crush it at the end of the day. The whole process used to take around 6-7 hours a day. I did this for nearly 40 days straight. I dont remember having taken a single day break and i used to do it when server used to have the least number of players (between 20 and 40). My daily income varied between 100k to 300k depending on the number of rounds i used to visit the mines.

By the end of the 40 day period, i was having more than 5 million in cash. And i bought Mazda Furai which no one else was having on the server. Although it drives like trash and spins a lot, i am still happy with the purchase knowing i am the only owner of the car on the server.

Then i left corruption and with old members of corruption joined a new org named Goldmen. During the same time bought another car, the 1963 Rolls Royce which i havent seen with anyone else either. Headed by @Bitemybiscuit1 , my time at Goldmen is the most fun time i've had in any org. We used to raid all the time and also used to go on mugging sprees. It was so much fun. Later, became the co-leader of Goldmen and will hopefully be reviving it soon.

I joined around late 2017 when finding Monolith with a friend, I started out like most others by just running around and being a big meme while also trying to grind and make money to do most things. I didn't really get far so the most I did was worked my way into PD and mained PD on Rockford all the time.

The first big orgs I joined were the Rockford Cartel (I think that was the name) and then the Partizanis. Met some chill people in those orgs and went around raiding as well but got kinda bored of that. The next org I ended up in was the Highway Patrol org, and then I left that and moved to The Floridians where I met Lambsauce, Salt, gm1003, and a few others and that was pretty much my org up until recently where I joined MonoLyft. I don't really do much stuff on the server since I joined staff in the middle of my org hopping. Started off as trial mod and worked my way up to where I am now thanks to a lot of current and former staff who helped make me who I am today. About to be 2 full years of being in the staff team and also fully being apart of Monolith regularly and it's been quite the experience in a lot of ways.

He made us earn our money to change our name and buy the iconic striped clothing and straw hats. At this point it knew it was serious. Me and chøp and the rest of the boys made people pay over time with deagles and basically what we could get our hands on. Between all the crime and basing we hit the casino up and rolled that slots for hours on end my friend Kyle Kurosaki one day gave me 5k to do slots and I hit the jackpot, from their my balance sky rocketed I bought a new car and lived life. Then Florida came along the best second server in time wars on wars on wars on grinding just plenty fun. But during a dark period in paralake I took a break during that time numerous wars went down between Reign Of Terror and many big orgs so sad that I missed them. I returned to paralake near the end of it only a few Kurosakis remained chøp and I took to the streets one last time together in the Kurosaki name with mac11's and we absolutely doinked 8 kids in a 8v2. Once Truenorth came along I was lost helpless and forgotten. The Kurosaki name has faded and I'm the last left active member. I was looking for people to base with or even farm I was still new to the crime world. Then I met @dylan7 and @shilly04 and they introduced me to the Alcinia family and Vladimir. These guys brought me in like a brother and accepted me. The Alcinias were involved in many wars lost lots and won lots but we had a hell of a time they helped me gather a more of a diplomatic approach to the mono world instead of shoot first. Once the Alcinias fell I was once left open and lost. Then I met a @Buddyro22 and Jose (I forget his last name :/) they let me base with them a few days and then they accepted me as a human being. Then I met @Hello migo through Tyler and Jose and he helped me become friends with the whole group which then let me become friends with @Horrendous who I have remembered since Paralake just killing me in his lambo and his name just always popped. I was eventually accepted into the org where I became best friends with Mike(gone but not forgotten) Mike and i top 10 minges of all time for sure. I was accepted into Money Train Mafia at the time and then I met a fellow by the name Adam James, and his gang 1%. Adam even tho we were at war ingame talked to me like we were on the same side (damn I gotta hurry this up) eventually truenorth became a big blurr but I remember the wars between 1% and gs9 I was in gs9 at the time and they helped me get to coke and solidify my name as a baller shot caller. Near the end of truenorth I eventually met Edwig, Ethan, @table, and many more friends. These guys thought I was sketchy since they were the enemy for such a long time but they were great lads. Once Truenorth switched to paralake I felt a discomforting change in the air it wasn't the same. I fought many great wars with gs9 and I thought it was a good time for a change so I ended up leaving gs9. I ran solo for a little bit until Adam James took me into him and 1%'s arms. I eventually gained the trust of edwig table and most of the gang to become an official member. We played our secret anthem to formally add me to the group and the team song. Then fought a huge fight minutes after. Weeks later the 1% boys fell to a nasty disease that many catch. I was depressed I took a 2 month break from monolith. I ended up breaking my leg over that break and monoford came out. Recently I am hanging out with @Wolv and having a blast. A new breed of 1% is on the horizon.
