Time of Occurrence: 5th of January, maybe, not sure.
Evidence to support your claim:

I was going to wait for my ban appeal to be reviewed before I made a staff report but I figured he can't be bothered to look at it so I have decided to make a report now before it's too late.

There was a mass rdm that I took no part in what so ever, Shimax had banned me without any investigation, nor did he ask any questions and had banned me for a month for "Assisting a mass RDM". I did not assist in any way, assisting would be killing people alongside him - Which I did not do. After a month ban, I then realise that it had been extended to a year... still, without any investigation. He should have at least made an attempt to look into the situation instead of jumping to a conclusion especially before extending it with approval from a senior admin. The ban had caused an inconvenience especially considering that he has not even considered responding to my ban appeal.

Before I address your points, I apologise for the time it's taken me to respond to your appeal. I have a lot to do at the moment and I cannot get around to it. Onto the report:

Logs show otherwise. The following points address this.

Correction, we had investigated it for about 30 minutes before deciding a ban was necessary.

This is incorrect and you know it. Assisting is just that, assisting. If you were killing alongside him, we'd have hit you with an MRDM ban. But we didn't. You assisted by giving an alt account of someone you knew a weapon later used to MRDM.

I then realise that it had been extended to a year... still, without any investigation.

So you know what discussions were had amongst staff do you? These bans require investigation, and that's exactly why it was extended. A conclusive investigation.

He should have at least made an attempt to look into the situation instead of jumping to a conclusion especially before extending it with approval from a senior admin.

It was looked into, not only by me, but by the approving SA. They don't just extend bans because we ask "can I extend this ban". They also need their own proof which they did.

It's not that I have "not even considered" responding. It's because I'm too busy. I, like you, have a life outside of Monolith which I need to balance.

I didn't even know you drove him to the mechanic. What I banned you for:

• Trading him a weapon he later used to MRDM
• Demonstrating knowledge of his intent via chat

Which weapons did i give him... ( spoiler... it was an aug ) and what gun did he mass rdm with? ( spoiler yet again... it was a g3 ) and finally... give examples of demonstrating knowledge of his intent which is just you making shit up at this point.

Maybe I made a mistake, but I'm almost certain you dropped a G3 to him and followed with "I'm assisting you too." That was demonstrating knowledge of his intent. It was either poorly timed or you knew he was planning a MassRDM. I'll look through logs again, but it'll take a while.
Furthermore, the level of immaturity in this sentence is insulting to say the least. Seeing as you are coming here to get this resolved, it won't help the situation.

I explained it on my ban appeal, nor do I really care about 'maturity' in a sentence... its a staff report on a garrysmod server not a job interview

Correction, I traded him an aug and followed "NICE TO KNOW YOUR ASSISTING AN ALT" with "I'm assisting you too dumbass".

I dont get what makes you think that I am assisting a mass rdm before a mass rdm happened, nor can I think of why I would say that in text chat opposed to literally anything else.

It was either poorly timed or you knew he was planning a MassRDM.

idfk what makes u think 30mins after is poorly timing... considering it's been 30mins

Hello,

Thank you for your report. After reviewing the logs I agree that your ban was false and your story lines up with the evidence. This appears to be a mistake on Shimax and Gm's fault, they have been spoken to regarding this. In the future they will both be more careful to review logs properly before making hefty bans such as this.
