The Media Team

A good community treasures and cherishes all its talents. An important objective for me, is to establish a media team where artistic and creative talent can be aligned with the community's work and mission. Let's begin by narrowing this down a bit first. The Media Team and its Media Creators are people creating visual content - graphical material, high quality Garry's Mod poses, trailers etc. They are not mappers nor modellers - we classify those as developers here.

The content created by the Media Team will be used for things like announcements, presentations, important guidelines and threads - and sometimes marketing. It's however important to note that the Marketing Team is another separate department.

I will pick appropriate community members for this team, depending on their capabilities. If you wish to be a part of the Media Team, please make a portfolio thread of your own in this Creative forum - and link it in a reply to this thread!

Members of the Media Team will gain great respect from both the management and members of this community, and be rewarded when appropriate. The most active and capable member(s) of the team will be made its leader(s).

I'm decent at editing, know how to use Sony Vegas, learning adobe after effects & adobe premier pro. Have a few friends who are good at editing as well. Wont upload all of my examples because most are memes, could be deemed offensive, not everyone has the same humour as me. I'll send the most non-offensive ones I have shortly. Note most of these were from my previous communities (all were edited with Sony Vegas apart from most public ones).This is my channel and it does not represent Monolith in any way or form, my YouTube channel is entirely separate and done off my own accord, I operate it differently to how I would act on Monolith. Finally, I wouldn't use the public videos as examples as most weren't edited professionally also all of the videos are old. You could need some improvement - like you mentioned yourself, you're still learning many of the tools. Make something really impressive and appropriate with regards to Monolith, and I'll consider you! Good content, not some meme video.

You have a pretty long way to go till you are skilled enough. I recommend that you look at guides for posing and challenge yourself to apply all the different techniques. You should make poses singleplayer so you can really set everything up in terms of lighting etc.
