Why Monolith Is Not Good

First of all this is just constructive criticism and should not be taken into harm, but I want to put some key details on why a lot of people left and are sick of it. First of all don’t delete this and actually put this in consideration and not just get rid of it and pretend like nothing is going on. I want this discussion to be about what people don’t like about this server, people are too scared to talk bad about the server because they will just be banned because this server can’t take criticism. The reason why I left is because of the staff team, it needs work really bad, no staff gets in trouble it’s literally every time “we will talk to them”, and nothing never happens. Another thing is a lot of the people that you hire are in the server for like a month and don’t even know the rules at all, whenever they get in a sit they just ask a SA what to do because they don’t even know what to do. I want to hear other people opinions on what they think, I personally think the staff team gets away with way too much stuff and they know they can get away with it, hopefully this thread won’t get taken down but probably will. It’s fine though, there a reason why a lot of people left and the news players will find out soon.

Hot take, something people don't want to hear but it's true. This is the main reason why I cancelled my premium membership.

From a player's perspective, it's frustrating to have moderators, administrators and senior administrators contradict each other on rulings. Even more frustrating when they come up with rulings that don't made sense. (A recent frustrating situation: A new mod said police cannot handcuff & search someone who is at the front door, trying to get in to a property that is warranted and has police outside about to raid it. I thought this was wrong and the mod called over an admin for a second opinion, who looked over the video and then said the new Mod was wrong in his ruling)

Reason why people care even though it's a server on a video game is because a good amount of people who play on the server pay $10 a month for premium and people probably care more for stuff they are paying for.

Staff tends to rarely get punished mostly because staff (generally) isn't usually in the wrong. And the reason they only get talking tos and warnings when they are in the wrong, is because everyone makes mistakes. We give players verbals and light punishments all the time. The gamemode has lots of grey areas and obscure rules that even the most experienced players make mistakes sometimes, and staff has a right to make the occasional mistake as well.

Well, when I said my goodbyes and someone commented why you left and I said something on the lines of “not gonna say why”, someone deleted my comment and left a comment saying “why did you leave”, so here I am giving my feedback because I don’t care if I were to get banned for making this thread. Also want to note GM your not a bad staff member at all, your actually one of my favorite, I’m just saying a lot of staff members that should of been gone a long time ago.

Personally when I was on staff, I never punished people for disrespecting me, only players. Personally I could give 2 shits what someone has to say about me, but when they insulted and started being toxic to another player I drew the line.

I have not, nor have I seen anyone give those punishments for those offenses. But also, not every offense gets a light punishment.

We have a zero tolerance policy on racism, intolerance, cyber attacks, doxxing, and life threats. You seriously cannot think that somebody who spams the hard R in chat is not going to get banned for a long time?

There are in character rule breaks and then there are out of character rule breaks.

In character rule breaks such as rdm, raid timers, false arrest, unauthorized corruption, etc all have their own punishment guidelines. And of course, your history and behavior during the sit will be taken into account as well. This is basically the same as getting a speeding ticket. If you are respectful and are not being rude then you have a chance at getting a reduced punishment. However, if you got a speeding ticket a week ago and you are getting another one again then you clearly have not learned anything and you will receive an appropriate punishment. Doesn’t matter how nice you are during the sit. If you have a severe history of punishments for a specific rule break then you can expect to receive a more severe punishment every time you break that rule.

Out of character rule breaks such as doxxing, ddos threats, and irl death threats are an immediate perma ban with approval. Other rule breaks such as intolerance can lead from an OOC blacklist to up to a year ban depending on the severity.

Something like “the holocaust never happened” in ooc will get you a blacklist or a few day ban.

Something like /advert hard r repeatedly will get you a 3 months to a year.

This is how its been. How its always been. All punishments are always situational. You of all people (considering your history) should know this.

I honestly don’t see any issues here. You say that staff never get punished but then you don’t give reason to punish a staff member. You have to realize staff are also human.

This thread started as a shit post so I’m going to lock it. But I will keep it visible so people can see your “constructive” criticism.
