any point your guys disagree with is inciting drama. people come here spend their time making arguments in hope that the game improvement, but you arbitrarily threat them just because they're showing unpopular opnions. I thought that this kind of Monolith was left behind long time ago

because there is nothing essencialy wrong within his comment, except that, we assume, for you that just thought it was bad because it quotes "cop mains" and "admins" in it. he isn't offending anyone nor flaming any topic, he is just pointing out a single thing that he finds bad to game. People banned for inciting drama gets real year-ish punishments over speaking really bad stuff and talking shit about mono in general, that aint whats happening here, we're seeing a experienced player from 2017 (more time than you) who stills plays and seems to care about the game voicing his opnion.
And, you cant even say its a lie because on the past months there is at least 2 rules i can remember that were changed after staff reports were made, being these rule changes suggested by the staffs themselves who got reported, however this isn't the matter. This thread is on the "discussion" part of the forums, why dont you just use words to elaborate against his point instead of using unecessary power?

my staff report had literally nothing to do with my comment, im sorry if you thought it was.. although it was quite ironic. listen my point of my comment was pointing out the blatant issue and gap from us (players) and them (you & other admins) who do happen to find time to play, play as a... you guess it cop. who were the last admins who main criminal rp? Aspect? so there is noone to speak up about how the server is ran IN-GAME its frustrating to have the PD have all these things over the regular criminal, 2 lifes in raids, kev, guns.. and admins who side with the PD meaning we cant handle or solve any issues in sits but instead typing up an entire essay for a 15 y/o game be real noone likes that shit. im only pointing out the blatant BS

Something I’ve observed for a long time in this community - no matter what changes, you can’t satisfy every player in this community.
People will always hold onto nolgastic memories of the past when Monolith was once at it’s peak. That’s one of the reasons why players may want to return back to previous maps.
But let’s face reality. Those memories that we once have of Monolith are not going to return. We can sit here and argue, but it’s not going to change anything - if anything, it’ll turn the community against itself again.
I appreciate being part of this community, but the only way it is going to work is if players and staff members can work together without issues to make improvements for the future.
If players can’t trust staff members (vice versa), then they’ll never be a bridge for better dialogue and trust.
I have witnessed when Monolith was once at it’s peak in my staffing days and I have experienced some incredible events during that time too.
Best thing to do is just try and move forward; even if you’re frustrated with the problems in this community. There’s nothing wrong with venting your concerns, because I’m sure it may be genuine.
Those are just my opinions.

Changing maps wont help with the player count, sure it will make more people join but thats only for a week at most and always wears off. i dont have the answer as to what will improve the player count cause all i can think of is just a temporarily solution. i honestly think that some part to blame is the fact people seemed to be burnt out of gmod as a whole. people prefer simple (which is why theres so many iphone users) and thats why the stock downtown_ servers are full a lot cause its so simple to get a hang of where monolith can be very intimating for a new person.
