If you countered your own base you would have to kill your own org members. A counter raid is when you "counter" the raid occuring from party A on party B, and take out both parties, being party C.

You would only be defending your base from the outside if you kill people raiding your base, which is not allowed, as you were not a current occupant of the property at the start.
