Awful EU Lag Problem

A description of your technical issue:
Currently within the server, all players located in and around the Continent of Europe are facing extreme lag when playing on the server... This lag is not related to the players internet or PC's, as it is happening for almost every player in the EU time zone even when our internet connections are strong... This leads us to believe this is a server host related problem!
Has it happened before?:
It has been happening every now and then at seemingly random times for around 2 days now.

First of all, players from EU are supposed to have higher latency - therefore longer response time - from a server located in the US.

Sudden lag-spikes are caused by network attacks to our service provider at this time. They're aware and working on upgrading their infrastructure.
