Ban Reason: Metagaming in PMS
Unban Reason: So I normally don't metagame, as I do a bunch of stuff in character, the last time I metagamed was back in paralake. This was a really long time ago. We didn't really change much rp for other people as the only thing I asked was if he was full dead and I asked him if he was ok when he went mute on radio. He did a bank raid and was taken to hospital, I knew that but since it was OOC information, I stayed at my warehouse crushing titanium. I don't metagame, and if the small chance I do, I dont use any information IC. As it ruins the fun for others. The last time I have been banned I think was around a month ago. Maybe at the start of February. The 1 month and 2 day ban is really harsh. My friend who metagamed alot more than me for 12 hours whilst I got a whole month. Without adding more, I am really sorry for messaging my friend in pms. I didn't think it would affect others roleplay. I understand that it causes a problem for others, giving a unfair advantage to me and him. I understand that when roleplaying, you are not able to use PM's to talk. I cant say much to fill this mistake up as I am a experienced player, I have played since rockford, and I should know the rules well enough to not get banned. I've seen another long time player get a month ban, and it was denied. I dont think this will be accepted either, but I will try my best. This was the first time in ages that I sent a pm to a friend. I did not even use the small amount of info to affect anyones roleplay, and if I did without my knowledge, I apologize for that.
Edit: I send 4-6 messages which contained little to no info. Just after I got vdmed I predicted that my friend would be caught in his silent bank raid. And we had a little chuckle. I understand how horrible metagaming is, it ruins roleplay but we had no intent to ruin anyones roleplay. I did not use ANY ooc content IC in which it would ruin roleplay. I normally only play gmod and monolith rp. The community is amazing and i have alot of friends which keep me company.
Edit 2: When I was metagaming with my friend through pms, I didn't think much of it. I didn't see it as a red flag, as we were not doing much I just found out that metagaming in the smallest way is metagaming. No matter what you do. Some metagaming cases are worse, but all of them are rule breaks. I have played around 78 hours of gmod in the last 2 weeks on mono alone. I grind out with my friends and just goof around with my buddies. I hopefully did not ruin roleplay for anyone else. Getting a month ban for me is quite a big deal for me. As most of my friends only play that, and I just came back from a very, very long break. I understand the severity of the rule that I broke. I understand what I did wrong and how I could use other ways in character to talk to my friends. I understand the metagaming rules alot more than I did before, and I know that even the smallest PM in chat or discord could ruin alot of things for me and for other people playing monolith. I do hope to get unbanned and to see my friends on the server again. I understand that the chances are really slim for me getting unbanned, but nevertheless, I will try my best to understand the rules more, so I can make sure no ones roleplay gets destroyed. I understand that alot of people take games seriously and they take time off things to enjoy this game with their friends, and me breaking rules could ruin alot of things for them. I hope to see forgiveness and I hope to return to the community alot sooner.
Edit 3: I just saw the wonderful creations which were added into monolith. Day time and more titanium nodes. I am really sorry for messaging my friend through pms and I will only us IC methods to talk. I really wanan come back and enjoy the new updates with my friends.
