Your Character Name: Han Muller

Which Staff issued the Warning Point: Mak

Reason for the warning point(s): apparently having a primary equipped is cop baiting
Why should the point(s) be removed: literally all I did was accidentally leave a primary equipped while I was getting gas from the station.

Time of Occurrence: ~12:00 am Wednesday July 29
Additional members involved/witnessing: the cop who tried arresting me

Some additional context, I was about to do a bank raid when I pulled my car our of the garage, it had previously been destroyed so the tank was empty. Upon realizing this I went to the nearest gas station (my KSG was still equipped) and bought a tank of gas. I was making my way back with the gas tank in hand when a cop pulled up beside me (it was at that point I remembered I had an illegal gun equipped), the cop got out and pulled his gun so I pulled mine and a gunfight ensued. After killing the cop I filled up my tank, repaired my car and started making my way towards the bank when I was stopped by @mak at the intersection infront of the hospital.

Hello, @Tactical Bottom Frag ,

The reason why I issued the warning point is because of you walking in public with a primary equipped. The reporting party provided video evidence of you cop baiting. But I see how you could have forgot that you had a primary equipped, and one of the few reasons I issued a punishment is so this doesn’t repeat itself in the future.

I hope you understand why this was issued.
Regards, Mak.

@mak
All the video will show is me carrying a gas can with a primary on my back, if that is considered cop baiting then I accept your judgement. However, I would like you to post the video as it likely shows me moving away from the cop while facing him in an attempt to conceal the weapon as I was trying to avoid an arrest rather than provoke one. Cop baiting as defined in the rules is the act of intentionally provoking a police response, this was not the case in my situation as I actively tried to avoid police interaction. I don‘t see why this didn’t end after it was resolved in rp, I was doing something illegal in game and a natural rp situation occurred as a result.

Hello, @Tactical Bottom Frag

In regards to your warning point appeal:

carrying a gas can with a primary on my back, if that is considered cop baiting then I accept your judgement

You could have easily unequipped your weapon until absolutely necessary. That would have been the best way to avoid being reported.

Upon realizing this I went to the nearest gas station (my KSG was still equipped) and bought a tank of gas.

Performing everyday tasks like this with a class 3 on your back with the excuse you were "about to do" illegal activity isn't a valid reason. Unequip your weapon and equip it when it's needed.

Cop baiting as defined in the rules is the act of intentionally provoking a police response

Cop Baiting - The act of excessively provoking Law Enforcement for the sole purpose of having them chase you or incite some other reaction from them for your own mere enjoyment.

Cop baiting doesn't necessarily have to be intentional to be seen as intentional. To the police, they just saw you filling up your car with a gun on your back.

Referring to what Mak said:

and one of the few reasons I issued a punishment is so this doesn’t repeat itself in the future.

This is exactly what warning points are designed to do. Deter players from breaking the same rules over and over again. Repeat offenses result in a ban.
Gunfights are supposed to be last resorts. Not the result of someone "forgetting" that their gun was on their back. You shouldn't have equipped it before you were absolutely ready in the first place.

Unfortunately, I'm going to be denying this warning appeal. The warning point is there to warn you not to do this again.

Appeal DENIED

-Shimax
