Now. I was in a situation with my org for a while and had left my base unattended for some time. Apparently, at that time, I was raided. After wrapping things up with the org, I returned to my base (Panatlantic Warehouse) to see an unfamiliar car inside my gate and my main door open. I (of course) took my gun out and ran over to the warehouse. As I arrived, there was a man running out of my door. I shot him before he made it out, but that isn't my point. From my perspective, this man just raided me, and surely cleared my mining equipment. (but dubs said he wasn't raiding me because he didn't lockpick anything, as apparently, it was someone else who raided me and this dude was just seeing if anything was left) Him being a raider, I assumed that he broke into my factory with a gun to rob or kill me. I killed him, and that was that. Then, dubsmaster brought me to a sit with this person. I received a warning point for RDM. I do not understand. In what world can I not shoot an intruder on my property? Dubsmaster stated that because the man was unarmed, I had no right. He also said that this game isn't the real world, it is a gmod server. Obviously, I understand this, but, correct me if I'm wrong: this is supposed to be a server that you PLAY THE ROLE of a cop/criminal/etc.
Now. I understand that a factory is not a home, but in the case of this server, it basically is. I had no way of knowing whether or not this dude was armed, but who the fuck raids without a gun? He was basically baiting an RDM (and really running into a base like this which has clearly been raided should be ftvl). This was the rule cited to warn me: 4. Attacking to kill should be carried out sensibly and not as a first resort unless you have a good reason for immediate lethal action. My attack to kill this man was not a first resort, it was a last. My first resort would be to defend my home from the raid, second would be to call my org for backup. This dude could've been holding a pistol in his hands, it was dark and he was running so I had no way of knowing. I also think a good reason for immediate lethal action is A MAN BREAKING INTO MY FACTORY PRESUMABLY ARMED AND PRESUMABLY STEALING FROM ME. Idk man. If I'm wrong then I'm wrong, but I think this warning point is invalid and dubsmaster should be re-educated on the rules. If he did nothing wrong then the rules need to be rewritten for this, because it is honestly ridiculous.
Time of Occurrence: 11/6 (not sure on the time)
Evidence to support your claim: I have none, I guess if he lies it just invalidates my confidence in the staff team.
Additional members involved/witnessing: Death Merchant was the reporting party but he isn't directly involved for this report.
