Game crashes when done loading

My game crashes when Gmod is done loading into the server and I hit the Monolith loading screen. It freezes for about 3 seconds, makes some strange sounds, then crashes with no error message or anything. Help?

I have:

• Verified Game Cache.
• Switched to "chromium" beta version.
• Installed whole server content pack.
• Decreased max settings past the lowest setting via custom cfg file.

Quick Edit: I was able to play on the server just fine several months ago, i'm not sure why it won't work now.

The only thing that has worked for me was verifying game cache. Worst comes to worse un-install gmod then re-install.

I have been having the exact some problem but I have found a fix load into the server cancel load into the server again cancel again then load into the server for the 3rd time and you should get in without crashing that’s what worked for me

It does but that worked 100% for me
