Beginnings
The Imperial Posse is a mixed race American street gang that first appeared in the early 2000's around the Lower Alder District. No one knows why or how this gang formed, however many speculate it began with a small group of three troubled teen friends who met in shop class in the Lower Alder High School. These three boys were named Sean Doyle, Jermaine Johnson, and Bruce Parker. The boys excelled in their shop class so well they could disassemble almost any car from inside out, and put it back together.
Turning Point
The three boys used their interest and skills with motor vehicles as a "gateway" out of the surrounding poverty, gangs, and crime that riddled the Lower Alder District. However they were using their skills in the wrong ways, and began stealing cars and chopping them to the Lower Alder Mechanic shop. They were making more money then they had ever seen in their entire life, and greed for money grew stronger and stronger within the group which would eventually lead to a down-fall.
Gang formation
The three boys gained notoriety in their neighborhood, and many teens just like them wanted to make money just as they did. The three boys, now adults opened their ranks and began recruiting people forming an empire of criminals who would commit various crimes ranging from Petty theft to even Murder. Their gang ranks were based off of chess pieces with the "Emperor" being the highest and the "Pawn" being the lowest. They appropriately named themselves "Imperial Posse" sticking with the whole theme of an Empire. The color purple stems from the combination of red and blue, which are the two main color schemes of the Imperialist form of government. Due to the notoriety the gang gained, this meant they were targets to other rival street gangs in the area. Members of the Imperial Posse began carrying handguns and other weapons they would find in cars they would steal, or illegally smuggle/ craft.
Down-fall
One day Bruce, who held the rank of "King" went out on a gang mission with a group of pawns. Despite being warned the mission could be risky Bruce insisted he wanted to go. Bruce and the group of pawns walked down 121st street and made a left heading North bound onto 72nd street, where they slipped into the shadows of an alley. The group slipped on their gloves and approached a car they were preparing to steal, however they were unaware they were being followed by detectives and police in 2 unmarked vehicles. The 2 unmarked vehicles closed off the two exits to the alley way, and entered inside just as the group was getting to open the vehicle. The officers got out with their guns drawn aiming at the group. The pawns turned around and scrambled everywhere trying to find an escape, some even pulling their firearms and firing at the officers as they ran. Bruce ran around to the north end of the alley where he was then arrested and sent to the Pine County Maximum Security jail. Using the RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations) act, they were able to arrest the other heads of the gang including Jermaine and Sean. With the heads of the gang gone this opened waves for new heads to be appointed. Nearly 20 years later the cycle still repeats. In present day 2021 the current head of the gang is Miguel Mendoza, who holds the rank of "Emperor" within the gang.
RANKS
Emperor
The head of the gang, controlling it like a puppet master giving orders to the Kings and Queens who control their party. The Emperor appoints Kings and Queens with the help of suggestions. The Emperor has total rule of the gang There can only be one emperor, and the Emperor appoints who is next in line to be an Emperor from the list of Kings and Queens. If the Emperor dies, or cannot appoint a new Emperor then it is up to the Kings and Queens to decide, and so on so fourth.
Kings and Queens
Rulers over small cliques of the gang,. They take orders directly from the Emperor. They act as a council that decides what happens, and what is right from wrong. They give orders to their Rooks in order to control their party, and discuss "gang politics". If a slot is available the Kings and Queens can get together to suggest and new King or Queen to rule beside them. There can be multiple Kings and Queens, however there usually isn't many.
Rooks
Sworn to serve the Kings and Queens of the gang, they act as "Street Enforcers" or "O.G. (Original Gangsters)", enforcing gang rule and politics ordered by the Kings and Queens. Rooks take orders from the Kings and Queens and anyone above.
Bishops
Senior members of the gang, that have no power, aside from their earned street credibility and respect. Bishops take direct orders from Rooks and anyone above them.
Knights
Normal members of the gang with no power. Achieving the rank of Knight means you have proven your worth and activity to the gang, and have been ranked into knighthood. Knights take direct orders from Rooks and anyone above them.
Pawn
Front line soldiers, often used as "throw-aways" usually tasked with the "dirty work" due to the fact that it doesn't matter if they die or not. Usually not respected at all and hold no power whats so ever. Being a pawn means you have yet to prove yourself/ worth to the gang in order to enter Knight hood. Pawns take orders from Rooks and anyone above them.
