Invisible line while fishing

I've noticed that while fishing, I don't see my line/floater in the water. No audio also comes on when a fish is on the line. I usually wait till there is around 15-20 seconds left and reel in and about half the time, I successfully catch a fish and the other half, it gets away. Is this due to something I missed downloading or is it a in-game bug?

its the way you cast it if you cast it straight up your line will bug and never come down, but the fishing still works, so when you fish its also the way you look at it sometimes it doesnt shot up but still works so its just a bug. Also the fish missing is just because of your level and not a bug meaning the higher level fishing you are the more common you get fish but its no 100%
