Unban Reason: It had been at least 20 mins since I actually killed the mayor and I hid in layer 2 for 20-30 minutes and I had to go in real life so I thought I would be fine to leave and then when I came back just now I saw that I was banned. The police weren't currently chasing me and hadn't been for 10+ mins.

Police had complained that you left, and that they were still looking for you actively. They had almost the whole PD on it.

Next time, before leaving, if you know they're looking for you, please make a report and we'll evaluate the situation, then give the OK so you
can leave. When engaging in criminal activities, please make sure you'll have the time to participate in the consequences and subsequent RP situations.

From my point of view, this might look like you didn't want to "suffer" the consequences of killing the mayor.
