Type of feedback: Suggestion
Title: Make it so Guy Fawkes Masks (and maybe Payday2 Masks) can be used to hide/mask your identity in advertisements, would help CrimeRP such as anonymously selling guns (advertising your phone number without your name)
Links, videos, context (we love more information, media, etc.): n/a

realistically your ad would go through an ad agency, they would first off check all your information and what you are advertising, all ad agencies follow whatever advertising laws are set in place for their state. this is the same reason you dont see billboards on the highway advertising the sale of narcotics, or illicit weapons

i understand its a video game and does not have to be 100% realistic - i dont wanna be the guy to burst your bubble, dont get me wrong its a cool idea but, i also feel that implementing something like this would cut like 80% of the roleplay involved to find someone who is selling whatever illicit item your looking for.

How would adding more ability to roleplay by means of anonymous announcements "cut like 80% of the roleplay"?
There's been many times I've wanted to make an ad which would be an announcement from an organization such as the transportation departments or a gang, but the name is attached to the advertisement instead of it being "Transportation Department"
The only way I'd be able to do this is by changing my character's name to a failname for 5k, making the ad, potentially get in trouble for said failname, then another 5k to change my character back, and the same process for any followup ads.
In 2017/2018, having broadcasts from private organizations by just having someone equip a mask was much easier than this (obviously)

Plus, about the agency thing you don't really see names attached to advertisements on billboards unless they're promoting a specific person such as a doctor, so I think it's fine personally.

being able to make an organization ad and making an anonymous ad are 2 completely different suggestions. you are talking about an advert system that lets you put your orgs names instead of yourselves, equipping a physical mask and somehow being able to advertise illegal services on the open market is not the same thing. as i mentioned the suggestion itself isnt bad it's just the way its executed. in my opinion if you wanted illegal ads to be in the game why not add an NPC like the cuff breaker that you pay an extra penny for and he adverts whatever u want with no name attached. doing something like this would cut roleplay, instead of having to find customers and actually interact with players u just put an illegal ad up looking/selling whatever illegal items you have or services. thats like half of the roleplay of "having to find a provider" for whatever illegal service your looking for. there already is some sort of black market system on the forums "Forums > Monolith RP > Roleplay Documents > Shops & Marketplaces".

lastly in regards to the ad agency thing you mentioned. ad agencies look for open add slots and purchase them, for example on a bus stop, billboard, etc. they then rent these out to people who are looking to place an ad. im not sure if you have ever seen those spots on buses or billboards that say "your ad here" and a number to call listed on it. the billboard itself doesnt have to have your name on it. as previously mentioned, ad agencies follow their respective advertisement laws in their states, not to mention they take down all your information before you actually place the ad. even if you provide false information and somehow get through, they would still not let you place an advertisement for illegal services. u could technically find your own ad spot and purchase it yourself to place up your ad, however once again even if you advertise an illegal service, it would most likely get taken down. these are just examples with physical ads, like billboards and bus stops, however even with ads on the radio or television, it works the same exact way, if not harder.
