Introduction
The mining skill is used to collect ore from nodes. That ore can either be sold or refined into other useful materials. Like other skills, leveling mining is exponential, meaning it becomes harder as you level up.
Resources collected from mining are primarily used for manufacturing, a profession which requires a combination of other skills. For more information, click here to visit the guide.
Requirements
Players should buy the following items before proceeding with the guide.
- Pickaxe [Required]
- Flashlight [Optional]
Locations
Nodes can be found primarily in the millennium mines in layer two. Stone nodes can be found in the mines and at the park by the Monolith statue.
Mining
There are different nodes that a player can gather from. Refer to the following table for the types of nodes and their level requirements.
Node | Stone | Copper | Coal | Iron | Silver | Gold | Titanium |
Level | 1 | 6 | 15 | 15 | 48 | 62 | 73 |
New players must start with the stone node and gather from it until they reach level 6. Hold left-click while looking at the node to obtain ore.
Refining
Players can refine their collected ore by using a portable furnace or a factory setup.
> Portable Furnace
Use a portable furnace to refine ore into bars. Visit the hardware store to purchase one. No additional items are required.
This practice ties into the metalworking skill. For more information, click here to visit the guide.
> Factory Setup
Use a factory setup to refine ore into bars. Visit the hardware store to purchase the following items: Furnace, Conveyor, and Storage Box.
This practice ties into the metalworking skill. For more information, click here to visit the guide.
[!] Factory Equipment Limit
Players can deploy a maximum of four factory items at any given time. This means that you can have one factory setup along with two portable furnaces since they are not considered a factory item.
Profiting
Players can profit from their mining expenditure in a variety of ways.
> Hardware Store
Sell your ore to the NPC. This option is not recommended because the NPC pays little money for your resources. The only resource which has an exception is titanium. Sell titanium ore to the NPC for $2,600 a stack.
> MonoMarket
Sell your ore on the MonoMarket at a set amount per item. Access the MonoMarket by visiting the NPC at the bank. Open the selling tab and select and sell as much as you would like. Be aware that some sell orders may be fulfilled immediately while others take longer.
> MonoPages
Find players on the MonoPages app who are willing to buy your ore. Access the app by using your phone. This has an advantage over MonoMarket in that all advertisements are made by players who are currently online.
