Yes. After purchasing,Go to your subscriptions on the same store page and then cancel it. they will stull have it

Reiterating it real quick:
Once you purchase it for them go to Your Subscriptions and their subscription should be there. Cancel their subscription and when you do this it cancels the monthly subscription and they keep it until it runs out without renewing.
