Reason for Report: Forcing me to drop my machete even though it wasn't used in a crime. I was arrested for having a lockpick after PD raided a party. So there was no reason to take my machete as I was not involved in any violent crime.

Hello,

Even though it wasn't used in a crime, you were going to be processed and arrested, a felon cannot go to prison with any guns or machete's in hand, that's why I told you to drop it, this would be the same exact situation with a pistol even if you didn't use it in a crime scene.

Hm, I thought you couldn't take machetes off of people if they don't have them equipped. I tried asking if PD was able to take my machete in the !help chat but nobody responded. I don't see anywhere where it mentions whether or not PD can take legal weapons such as machetes in the PD handbook. If that is the case, then my apologies, it's just that no other officer has done such a thing so I'm not familiar with the rule.

Thegamingshain acted properly in this situation. It is not realistic that someone gets sent to jail with weapons on their inventory, including machetes, regardless of legality.
Per our rules, this is allowed, since it constitutes a valid reason for removing the weapons.

Law Enforcement may not take weapons from a player’s inventory without a valid reason. However, you may take weapons which were used in a robbery or combat situation.

We do admit that it may not be very explicit in the current, thus we will proceed to change it in order to make it absolutely clear. Keep in mind this rule change is simply a clarification, so no rules were breached in this situation.
