In my opinion its because Gmod itself dying, the game is far past its prime so the servers are just getting less and less fresh meat. People are moving on to other games. Its just a reality that the old times are gone and they're probably not coming back.

This could finally give pistol cops an actual use during shootouts. Pistol cops = acceptable losses

I don't really see what that would accomplish other than adding un-needed tedium to being a cop.

My problem with police right now is that is seems they don't have to follow rules, let me explain. For instance a cop can put on their lights and siren for a non-emergency reason and drive erratically, usually crashing into people and causing damage. But if I run a red light or speed they can...

This update has given the police a much needed buff, but I'm hoping they'll give the criminal mains some love in the next update because right now being a criminal is becoming harder and harder.

It makes it so that people aren't constantly grinding drugs 24/7. This encourages more player interaction as less people will be hiding in their base making drugs.

Its 4 sec and 6 of any police I think. Either way I kinda like the changes.
