so some kid tries to rob me twice but both times i resist and try to run away it says "You may not kill a player during a mugging unless they are actively resisting or threatening to snitch or kill on you." but he calls a admin and says its fear rp even when i was screaming help and running away so i was resisting he told me to drop my gun and i refused thinking in a mug i can only drop money so i was checking the rules a staff member appears asks me to drop my weapon and eventually i did he said if you dont this will be a harsher punishment and i dropped the weapon and a few seconds later im banned for 5 days for breaking fear rp 3 times when i broke it only 2x and i was "stalling rp" by checking the rules and i also got banned for "lying" when i got the persons name wrong i clearly said I THINK (persons name)

also i am extremely new to the monolith server spent like 5 hours grinding trying to get a car and i get banned

Hello @illusionist ,
So here it is what exactly happened:
You were reported the first time for breaking fearRP. You were being held at gunpoint and then decide to move, equip a weapon and shoot the player that was mugging you. I warned you back then hoping you wouldn't do such a thing again and would carefully read the rules instead.

As far as the last situation is concerned you were reported again for breaking fearRP while being held at gunpoint in the ravine. You told me there was a player near you guys that was watching the entire thing. I asked you several times his name and you told me you thought it had been "Nate Johnson". Later on when I asked you who was the player again, you told me it was one that was mining at the time. I followed you there and it turns out the player was not called "Nate Johnson" but "John Felsted" instead.

Therefore, I told you guys to roleplay the mug once more at the same place/near it. I teleported you both back there and I spectated the entire roleplay situation.

You kept asking the player that had you at gunpoint if that was a robbery and you said "1 second". You stalled the roleplay situation and broke out of your character.

This was when I got out of noclip and intervened. When I explained to you I saw the entire thing and that you kept stalling the roleplay situation you started arguing with me stating that he was not allowed to do it. I told you and showed you the rules that clearly state he is allowed to do so but you refused to accept it and kept arguing with me. That is why I told you your punishment would be harsher if you didnt hand over the weapon as you kept stalling the situation.

Finally you dropped the weapon and said you were going to report it to a higher ranked staff member. I proceeded in talking with one of them so that they would know what happened first hand. After speaking to them I decided to ban you instead as you clearly disregarded the rules and did not comply at all. If you had just apologized, handed over the weapon and said you wouldn't do it again, I would just give you the warning points. But since you did not do that and insisted in "showing me" the monolith rules, I decided to extend your punishment.

He had a reason to report you as you were actively resisting!

You must report a rule-breach when it happens/when a role-play situation is over with. While you await a staff member, do not stall the situation as a staff member will intervene as they see fit.

The staff is here for a reason. Do not take matters into your own hands. Their decisions are final. Do not disrespect or test their patience: take it to the appropriate forum board if required.

You must correctly follow FearRP when a situation calls for it, like when you are being held at gunpoint. Act like your character would in such a situation realistically.

I would also like to say that I banned you for lying because you were making up something that wasn't in the rules. I did not ban you because of what you stated. The rules are clear.

Additionally, I apologize you only broke fearRP twice. The other situation was regarding you killing the same person that mugged you.
