Hey everyone!
Our community has undergone some major developments since last week and we’re growing fast! We’re thrilled about the support, growth and new potential it brings, and are gradually raising our immediate ambitions. There are also some complex and frustrating challenges facing us, but we’re firmly determined to overcome them and will dedicate all of our time and effort to it!
The most clear challenge as of now, are the technical issues - mainly the one that we’re being attacked every so often, which is why the server at times experiences unusual lag spikes and crashes. We are investing a great deal of money into improving our defences, and will need to test some different solutions in the following days. We would therefore ask you to bear with us till we’ve fully solved that problem! Rest assured that we will give it everything we have, but we need some time and testing.
Once the lag/crash issues are no longer a problem, we believe performance is a key to our vision going forward. We have therefore purchased a more powerful server machine and will initiate an extensive optimisation effort so we can make the server hold more than 100 players, or alternatively hold 100 far better! Our investments are certainly demanding for our finances, so we really want to thank all of you who have subscribed or will subscribe for Premium Membership, or have donated to us directly! It means everything for our capacity to invest so we can improve and grow!
We are actively looking for good and active staff members, and encourage you to apply for server moderator if you’re confident in your abilities and want to contribute to our community! You can do so here! More active and skilled staff will allow us to ensure a higher roleplay standard and a better game experience overall!
We are all here for basically the same reason - our vision. Monolith RP is a unique fun game experience in Garry’s Mod and we all see the potential in how far we can take it together - multiple huge servers, each representing a city in a coherent and connected universe? Steady updates continually bringing new elements and features to the game experience. We are not just any community, but one distinctively committed to achieving something unseen before, and we never stop striving for new milestones and levels! We want to change Garry’s Mod forever, but we can only do so with your continued support. If we are to be successful, Monolith must mean us, all on a journey forward together!
