Are Guns Last Resort Or Not?

Yes, this is a small rant. Are guns really the last resort as they are supposed to be on the server? I disagree! From now on I'm recording every move I make on Monolith because people have a tendency to shot me for either no reason or the smallest reason.

Scenario 1: Earlier today I was being raided, ok that's normal. I do as they say, they say don't move, face the wall, don't speak. Once again, normal. They wonder around my base (I had just finished crushing, so there was nothing to take) and they destroy my car. After the destroy my car, I hear the door they came in open then close. Luckily I was next to a window, so I turn around to check the door WHILE KEEPING MY HANDS UP (I AM ALSO COMPLETELY UNARMED), and it turned out they pretended to leave. About 5 seconds later I'm sprayed down with an AK.

From that experience I think it is very clear that these people were only looking for frags, which they got. There was no reason for them to stay at my base, but they waited till I made a dumb mistake.
But why are people looking for frags if shooting someone should be a last resort? Let me know in the comments.

Guns should be a roleplay considered resort.
One would hope players have a personality first in their roleplay arsenal, supported by guns.

If people just want frags alone there are other games for that. There are people behind the things you kill who might not wish to be killed, which is why killing needs to be considered carefully.

A carefully considered and necessary kill can really benefit roleplay. Other times it just offends people, which is why it should be the last resort.

Everyone should try asking themselves - could my character live with the guilt of this killing?

I never kill. As a cop or a citizen, I don't take the first shot.

I personally think it depends on what type of character your trying to play like if your a gangster or in the mafia I don’t see why they would kill someone for disrespecting them or something like that. If anything the biggest problem is cops they never role play and all they want to do is frag and harass you if your basing.

Killing should be a last resort and even not then, if your life is not in immediate danger things should be dealt with via communication. Not everything has to be resolved by death, and like sure people can do stupid things but if someone accidentally damages you with there car don't spray them down, just talk to them. Disrespect should be something you kidnap someone for, not kill them. Killing them is a stupid resolution that could be dealt with in a manor that will not likely end up with them being dead. As for me, I've basically sold almost all of my guns, and only have a few makarovs left.

I considered making a report. But I didn't have a video, and there's no way logs could've backed me up. They sat in my building for about 5-7 minutes, waiting for me to slip up.
