uhhh don't you always attempt to peak both sides of a door when you open it during a police shootout? plus you were just crouched in the middle of a hallway no cover at all bright as day. Also if he was cheating you think he'd be looking directly at you to shoot you when he opens the door but he wasn't and turned to peak. I don't see it sorry.
