EVENT Event Suggestions

If you would like to suggest your ideas for events, you can do so here. Try to make sure that they are viable enough and relatively easy to recreate in Garry's Mod. You can also suggest your ideas for Community Bonding events here. If you suggest an event that has been done in the past, we will be sure to let you know with feedback on whether or not we will do the event again.

I have two ideas. 1 is foreign soldiers invasion (with smart AI searches everywhere and moves tactically) there is addon for that.
2 is a horror event. sky turns into red and monsters like from Cry of Fear spawns everywhere

COD Style Infected Event: 1-2 people would start off an infected and carry machetes. Everyone else would get a M3 Super 90 and 5 clips worth of ammo. If a non infected dies then they become infected. The goal of the non infected is to survive for 10 mins and the goal of the infected is to infect everyone within 10 mins. Maybe give some of the infected flashbangs to spice things up and make it harder as the game progresses kinda like how infected in COD get throwing knives to limit mindless camping. The event could take place at Power plant with the non infected holed up in the plant and the infected breaching into power plant.

Monoford dodgeball, Everyone brings their factory stuff.

This would not be very viable since not everyone has the factory equipment and we don't have much of a way to do dodgeball without it lasting five years.

For the first suggestion, I think that if we did do this that we would have to use real people instead of AI just because I don't think it would be worth it to handle the technically difficulties of "smart AI." There is a similar event to this already on our trello board and I'm sure that this will be done in the future but needs to have a bit more planning before it is actually done. This is a pretty large event so should it be done, you will likely be notified at least a week in advance.

For the second one, I don't believe that this is very viable as the server will completely die from how many zombies that would have to be spawned in. Also, not sure if we have the ability to turn the sky red, but I could be wrong about this. Either way, I don't think we will be doing this event in the future.

This event is already on the trello, but nevertheless, thanks for the suggestion. We will be doing this in the future.

It's a no brainer. All we have is gun games. Why not incorporate vehicle games.

Yeah, no. That would not end well for a number of reasons I could mention but I'd go on for a long time.

We've had forms of demolition derby's (since destroying vehicles will take a long time). But we can start looking into funner and newer ways to implement these.

I like this idea, but using money bags will have limitations. For example; How would people tackle/take the bag from someone? How would we make it fair so that you can't just hold the bag indefinitely? And so on. Rocket league style sports is something I'd be willing to try however.

For the money bag soccer thing I’m sure you could just spawn some type of ball and make an American football type game
