Request Reason: False KOS, RDM, NITRP
I was capturing a zone, and was killed without a valid reason. They ran up while I was not a threat and shot me for no reason without initiation. According to an SA (I forgot which one I only remember that he was British), rule 2.2.4 applies in this scenario regarding gang zones. The rule states that "attacking to kill should be carried out sensibly and not as a first resort, unless you have a good reason for immediate lethal action." Because I was sitting down in this clip, the SA agrees with me that I am not a threat, therefore I still need to be initiated on. By sitting down, I cannot use my gun, and am therefore not a threat to anyone walking up to me. Me capturing someone's zone does not give them a valid reason for KOS. Normal Player vs Player rules still apply as there are no others to go off of.
This would be False KOS, RDM, and NITRP on this person. You can even hear their friend ask why they did that (because their friend was going to follow the rules and initiate on me). The person that killed me had NITRP again when they kept repeating "we wanna capture" and drove off. I am also not even sure if this person owned this zone to begin with.

I would also suggest speaking with @Cozy about this kind of rulebreak. I tried to explain to him why it was a rulebreak but he kept trying to prove me wrong and said "well I have my own personal guideline that I follow and in this situation its not a rulebreak." I also found out for certain that the person that killed me was not even in the org that owned the zone, so they definitely had no reason to kill me. When I told this to the mod, he just said "they said they killed you cause they wanted to capture the zone" even though they drove off after killing me and never captured the zone. The mod was constantly trying to argue with me or prove me wrong and defend the people that RDMed me. I think a quick review of the rules with this trial mod would ensure that this doesn't happen again.

Dear @na13andre & @Slick,

Following a review of the provided statements and evidence, I have made a conclusion. For your information @na13andre, I was the staff member that made the judgement/opinion you are referring to. To provide a concise overview: @na13andre was situated within a gang zone and engaged in capturing the zone while seated with a deployed weapon (though unable to employ the weapon in a seated position). During this time, a group of users arrived at the gang zone, all equipped with weapons. Among them, @Slick proceeded to fatally shoot @na13andre. @Slick after other users questioned their action, repeated "I wanted to capture".

Items taken from @na13andre by @Slick:
  • x1 Kriss Vector
  • x1 CPR Kit
For clarification of Gang Zones in this situation, I would refer to rules 2.2.1 (Killing Without Valid In-Character Reason), 2.2.4 (Sensible Killing) and 2.6.1 (Realistic Roleplay Measures). Rule 2.2.1 clearly states that players should not be killed or knocked out unless a valid In-Character reason exists. In this scenario, since the player attempting to capture the gang zone is not posing a direct threat, there is no valid In-Character reason to resort to lethal force. Furthermore, rule 2.2.4 emphasizes the importance of sensibly approaching actions that may result in killing. It suggests that lethal actions should not be the first choice unless a compelling reason for immediate deadly action is present. In the case of a player capturing a gang zone without displaying aggression, it is not a sensible first resort to kill them. Finally, rule 2.6.1 highlights the necessity of adhering to realistic roleplay measures. If an action taken within the game is illogical or unrealistic in a real-life situation, it should not have occurred in-game. Killing a player who is non-aggressively capturing a gang zone and not participating in authentic roleplay violates this principle. Other passive alternatives could have been explored in this situation, such as requesting for the player to leave the zone.

In conclusion, I understand the differences in opinion on Gang Zones and when it would be appropriate to engage to kill/knock out. In this instance, I do not see any attempt by @Slick to appropriately engage with @na13andre in a realistic and passive way despite @na13andre not being an imminent threat. As such, the following rules listed below have been violated by @Slick in which they will receive Three Warning Points in consideration of their Player History.

2.2.1 (Killing Without Valid In-Character Reason) You may not kill or knock out players without a valid In-Character reason.
2.2.4 (Sensible Killing) Attacking to kill should be carried out sensibly and not as a first resort unless you have a good reason for immediate lethal action.

@na13andre You will receive a refund for your death and the items lost from this situation.
