I actually tried this and Im still having this issue.

I was the author of the previous thread, I was using Linux and I didn't have a bat reset file, reinstalling the game (and switching it to chromium x86-64 beta) fixed that issue for me, I am not sure how feasible it is for you. I don't know what could cause it on windows though as your case seems to be.
