What happened: A taxi driver drove right into an ongoing gunfight running me and another guy over ending our lives instantly and losing our stuff at the same time.

I can confirm this, the taxi managed to get past the pylons at spawn and run him over. A friend picked up his gear but was killed after a gunfight started.
