I'm almost certain that you would have lost this anyway. I know you got deceased without reason, but you were downed nonetheless and the police would have taken the items anyway. I don't see the connection as of why you should get the pistol, kevlar, helmet and holster back.

There is more and more scenarios if there wouldn't be a rule break at that current situation. If my friend wouldn't get shot down while he was unarmed, he most certainly would kill him.

Ya, Perry has a point, due to the items you lost being unable to be confiscated (and retrieved if you were revived by an EMS) I think you being deceased would make no difference in being able to get the items back. The officer could just pick up your pistol and kevlar and destroy it regardless if you were deceased or not. If you had a primary weapon (that could be confiscated and retrieved) it would be different though and a refund request would make more sense.
