Title: House alarms call the cops when activated
Links, videos, context (we love more information, media, etc.): Whenever someone activates the house alarm via lockpick or breaching charge or anything thats not a battering ram, it calls the police saying it's location

The point of being a cop is to go around the city and protect. It's already hard enough to defend a base. I don't want to frag raiders, then the cops automatically.


I could maybe see a potential Home Burglary alarm addon. This is a separate item that will contact the police if equipped. (This would help people who base legal.)



other than that, police already have tons of resources and advantages.

Or maybe they should just pair to your mono-phone and give you a notification if your alarm has been triggered and then from that notification you have two options;
Either dismissing the notification OR Alerting the police with the click of a button, like using 911 but quicker.

Save the potential abuse where people would trigger your alarms to get your door kicked in by the cops...

I'll +support this specifically, just not the OP

Sure you can just call 911 regardless but having a button with a pre-determined message to 911 could be nice, like a panic button (or maybe just add a panic button you can deploy)

However, I think this should be a separate alarm from the normal house alarm. Maybe just call it a home security system (or something along those lines) that will call the cops when your door gets lockpicked. I could see this being good for new players who are getting into basing etc.

Or the idea Fedayeen had is a pretty good idea as well!

This can nerf house alarms a little bit so that you run the risk of PD raiding your house if someone breaks in. Maybe there could be 2 types of house alarms:
1 that alerts PD but is cheaper (for if you are maybe just basing alone and making legal stuff)
and a second "hacked" alarm that is more expensive and you buy from contraband dealer but doesn't alert PD.

I really like the idea of having 2 separate house alarms. the one that contacts police should be cheaper than the one that doesn't.
