i cant click the main menu start button at all

whenever i try to log into monolith it takes me to the main start menu where it previews the city and im stuck there because i cant click on the start button... i have tried verifying my games files and a complete pc restart and tried looking this issue up on youtube and online but cannot find any fixes for this issue.

It could very well be the server getting overwhelmed with everybody connecting and wanting to check out the new content. I'd recommend either waiting a bit for the server to stabilize or perhaps going to your GMod cache (D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\cache) and deleting the files there. I'm not certain clearing your cache will solve it but it is worth a shot.

we will see ill prob just delete everything thats downloaded and if that dosent work its factory reset time for this pc.

What we know so far is this can sometimes be fixed by changing your resolution. If I had to guess, it's a problem with the game formatting that screen incorrectly, putting the 'play' button in the middle and making it impossible to click.
Restarting your game or waiting it out isn't going to do anything.

This also happens to both fullscreen and windowed users, Win7 and Win10 users alike.

I've tried a half-dozen resolutions without success, so I'm guessing I don't have the right monitor. Regardless, the head dev said it'll be fixed within the next day or so. I'm just gonna go play other vidya for a bit, 2.0 isn't going anywhere.

One res that works to my knowledge is 1920x1080. I was able to change my res to that and it let me click it. Once I was on the server, I changed it back to my native res and its working fine.
