Your Steam Name: jColborn
Your Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:445364752
Your Character Name (If Applicable): Jimmy Jimson
Admin being reported: Hatchet Tazz @Frank Loadholt, backed up by @Thanewolfe
Reason for Report: False punishment (I was given a punishment for RDM based on the situation, and Huey was given a punishment for cop baiting).
Time of Occurrence: 9/26, around 8 PM CDT
Evidence to support your claim:
The moment I decided to shoot Huey:
1 second later:
Entire situation (without additional context which doesn't matter much anyways):
Part of the admin sit:
Additional members involved/witnessing: Huey Freeman
Read, understood and followed staff report rules?: Yes
In response to part of @Thanewolfe 's message on my original thread for this situation:
"You shot a suspect in the back without any attempt to subdue."
When somebody's pointing a weapon at you and they have a reason to kill you, you do not try to 'subdue' them. You end the threat. I decided to fire on him when he was walking towards me and facing me with a machete out, ready to stab. From the time I fired my first shot (when he was still walking toward me) to the time he went down, I fired 7 shots (he ragdolled at 7) in the time of about 1 second. I obviously decided to shoot him before he turned around. Expecting somebody to stop shooting somebody due to them surrendering, putting their weapon away, or in this case running away in the time frame of 1 second after they've already started shooting and have huge screenshake due to recoil is completely unrealistic. When people put their hands up after being shot/shot at but they ragdoll within a few seconds after putting their hands up, it's not the shooter's fault and most staff recognize this. Additionally, Hatchet Tazz never brought up the fact that Huey went down while running away in the sit.
Check out this video where somebody pulls out and swings a machete at an officer, and gets shot while walking away: <video removed>
@Thanewolfe you're saying that if somebody shoots me more than 3 times, or downs me 1 second+ after I surrender then they need to be punished for RDM?
I'd like to have Hatchet respond to this before a reviewer gives their opinion on it.
