Ban Reason: Association with MassRDM, Metagaming
Unban Reason: I believe I should be unbanned for many reasons, I shall start off by saying that I am extremely sorry to anyone that this situation affected and if I am unbanned this shall not ever happen again. To understand my reasons for wanting to be unbanned I have to explain the situation that occurred.
I was told of a MassRDM that was going to be carried out by a fellow player (Sarah Akagi) before they left the server for good. I got into a discord call with them and tried to talk them out of it as it would ruin the experience of the server for many other players as there was about 80 players on at the time that this event occurred. I was unsuccessful in talking him out of the MassRDM and this should have been the point at which I contacted an admin and told them of the event that was going to happen, this I did not do. I stayed in the discord call with the individual while he carried out the MassRDM, I told him where one person was, this was an extremely stupid thing to do. I also asked him to drop his weapon when he was suspended in the sky by an administrator (@Balldrip) who was dealing with the situation.
The video has amassed over 110 views in the span of a day and has received many comments from former players saying things such as 'fuck monolith'. I did not join in on this as I do not think this way. This is my favorite server and I am extremely disappointed in my actions. The ban for metagaming came from me being in a discord call with Sarah when the event happened. This was a very stupid move as it means that I broke many rules, I understand what I have done and would never do this again.
I am extremely sorry to the admins with the abuse that they had to put up with due to that situation and I am extremely sorry for all the people this could have affected due to guns and other items being lost in the RDM. Overall I believe he killed about 7 people. It was a very stupid decision on my part to get involved in this and I take full responsibility for everything that I have done. I should have told an admin but I didn't do that. I felt a little bit torn with what to do and that is why in the heat of the moment I said things such as "Drop your gun before you get banned" and "There is one over here" This was a dumb move on my part and I said this due to me being a bit confused as to what was happening in the moment of the MassRDM. I do not believe this was a good action at all and believe that Sarah got the punishment that they deserve.
I would come back to Monolith servers with a new attitude. This attitude would involve me telling a staff member next time I am made aware of an event like this that is going to happen. I am not going to sit here and write out something defending my actions because they are nothing to defend, and I am shameful to have acted in that way. I am extremely sorry again to all the players and admins who this affected. I would not have thought that I would do something like this as I have spent so much money on the server (Around $80 - $90 AUD) I did this all in the head of the moment and felt really upset after and needed to take time to clear my head and think about the actions that I had committed on the server that I hold so dear to me.
I feel extremely ashamed of my actions on the server yesterday. I have made a lot of friends on this server and spent a large amount of time on this server and would hate to see it all go down the drain because of something stupid that I wish I had never done. I have joined multiple organisations on this server and made many friends and find what I did really upsetting. I will take any actions needed to be able to get back onto the server. I would really like to be unbanned so that I can get back to monolith and start working within my organisation and with many of my friends I have made again.
In conclusion, I am really sorry for what I did. I wish I could go back in time and change the past so that I never did this - but I can't, so I have to accept what I did and try my hardest to regain the trust and friendships that I had on the server. I want to retry with my time on this server and I really want to help to make this server the best place it can be, my actions yesterday definitely did not show that I want to do that thought. I am extremely sorry and would really like you guys to accept this appeal and remove my ban so I can come back and show that I will never do this again.
