Model textures on high = Gmod closes when trying to join server.

Hello,

When I have my model textures on high, I cannot connect to the server without my game closing completely. If I use medium for the model textures, I end up with glitched cars.

When I join the server it says that I have all the addons. Any idea what could be wrong?

Got it to work by joining the server on low textures. Then I changed texture detail to high and pressed OK. I went back into options and then made model texture high and hit OK. I did not touch apply. I am still in the server and it works but I did see an invisible man so textures are still a bit wonky.

Your client probably is overwhelmed with loading everything from gamemode at once and caching the models.
Like said previously, try joining on lower settings and then just raise them up when you're in game.
